Military Vehicle Maintenance Technician

Position Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced Military Vehicle Maintenance Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and modify wheeled and tracked military vehicles. This hands-on role requires strong diesel and gasoline engine knowledge, advanced diagnostic skills, and the ability to resolve complex maintenance issues in a field environment.
Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair military vehicles, including M270, M270A1, HIMARS, MLRS, Bradley, M1A1, HMMWV, and HEMTT platforms.
• Troubleshoot gasoline and diesel engines and related mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Support heavy equipment such as bulldozers and front-end loaders.
• Diagnose malfunctions and complete repairs with minimal equipment downtime.
• Install, upgrade, modify, and remove equipment and integrated systems.
• Provide technical guidance for difficult maintenance problems.
• Evaluate maintenance processes and recommend improvements.
• Maintain accurate service records and communicate effectively with customers.
• Provide onsite technical training when needed.

Minimum Qualifications

• Ability to obtain a US Government Security Clearance (REQUIRES US Citizenship)
• Experience maintaining and troubleshooting military, tactical, or heavy-duty vehicles.
• Strong gasoline and diesel engine knowledge.
• Proven vehicle diagnostics and repair skills.
• Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and maintenance procedures.
• Strong communication, documentation, and customer-service skills.
• Ability to work onsite in the Redstone Arsenal/Huntsville area.

Preferred Qualifications

• ACTIVE Secret clearance or higher is HIGHLY desired
• Direct experience with M270/M270A1, HIMARS, MLRS, Bradley, M1A1, HMMWV, or HEMTT vehicles.
• Experience with tracked vehicles or heavy construction equipment.
• Familiarity with Redstone Arsenal operations.
• Previous military vehicle maintenance or field-service experience.
