HUMINT Task Lead/Course Manager

***This position requires an active TS/SCI clearance. ***

Cherokee Strategic Edge is seeking a HUMINT Task Lead/Course Manager to support INSCOM's Training and Readiness Exercise (TREX) program. HUMINT expertise will demonstrate MIB-T anchor responsibilities in training and support requirements established for an Army Exploitation Office and an Army Interrogation Office. The HUMINT Task Lead/Course Manager will support the development of exercises, scenarios, and mission essential tasks for the MIB-Ts.

HUMINT Task Lead/Course Manager Responsibilities Include:
  • Serve as the designated HUMINT Task Lead for assigned contract requirements and provide day-to-day leadership for assigned contractor personnel.
  • Exercise tasking authority over assigned HUMINT contractor personnel in alignment with the contract, Program Manager guidance, customer priorities, and applicable policy.
  • Responsible for overseeing, coordinating, and leading the synchronization of all HUMINT - assigned activities, deliverables, training events, and personnel, including the reallocation of work to meet mission requirements, course schedules, deliverable milestones, and emergent customer needs.
  • Oversee, manage and direct support to the development of exercises, scenarios, and mission - essential tasks for MIB - Ts and Army HUMINTers at Corps and below, ensuring training is operationally relevant, standards aligned, and readiness - focused.
  • Lead, review and validate work products, instructional materials, scenario products, reports, and deliverables before submission. Ensure products meet required standards and directly support the customer's mission and operational requirements.
  • Provide routine professional counseling, mentorship, coaching, and performance feedback to assigned contractor personnel. Document performance concerns, recognize strong performance, identify development needs, and coordinate with the Program Manager on performance-management actions when necessary.
  • Establish clear performance expectations, communicate priorities, track workload and progress, identify resource constraints, and elevate risks or issues to the Program Manager and Government lead in a timely manner.
  • Lead recurring team meetings, production reviews, planning sessions, and after-action reviews. Ensure team members understand requirements, receive timely feedback, and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with collection requirements managers, analytic elements, and consumers to ensure both clandestine and overt HUMINT collection operations are focused and efficiently utilize allocated time and resources.
  • Provide direction and supervision to the HUMINT Team on the employment of intelligence collection systems that generate timely, relevant insights, and produces analytic outputs that inform collectors and consumers of collection developments and operational relevance.
  • Collaborate across the IC to understand consumer intelligence needs and gaps to optimize developing collection operations tailored to the requirements of the customer.
  • Supervises and oversees HUMINT collectors working with all - source analysts to evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of multi - INT collection against requirements, and to assess the execution of collection plans and strategies that generate reliable intelligence relevant to consumer needs.
  • Provide routine professional counseling, mentorship, coaching, and performance feedback to assigned contractor personnel. Assess personnel qualifications and capability to perform assigned duties and maintain continuity of operations.
  • Support recruiting, onboarding, training, cross-training, and readiness validation of contractor personnel.
  • Lead a professional, accountable, and mission-focused work environment that promotes collaboration, disciplined execution, ethical conduct, and continuous improvement.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.


HUMINT Task Lead/Course Manager Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance
  • Minimum of twelve (12) years of Army Military Intelligence experience
  • Minimum of twelve (12) years of experience as a 35M, 351M.
  • Minimum of five (5) years operational experience as HUMINT manager or collector
  • Graduate of the Army Basic Instructor Course (ABIC) or equivalent Intelligence Community instructor course (i.e., NGA College, NSA ADET, etc.).
  • Demonstrates ability to produce Intelligence Information Reports (IIRs).
  • Graduate of in-residence basic Human Intelligence Collection course to include, but not limited to, Defense Strategic Debriefer Course (DSDC) or Military Service equivalent
  • Preferred: Graduated JHATC, JHMC, JIMC, JHOC, DISMG Graduate.
  • Master's Degree preferred
  • Comprehensive mission knowledge and skills that affirms completion of all developmental training and experiences for the labor category
  • Ability to communicate understanding from information that may be incomplete, indirect, highly complex, seemingly unrelated, and / or technically advanced
  • Ability to structure analysis based on trends in reporting and a range of analytic perspectives from other analysts, organizations, and intelligence disciplines
  • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight and direction.
  • Ability to collaborate and work with other IC members on information sharing, driving collection, and addressing analytic disputes and conflict resolution
  • Ability to develop concise, insightful, and comprehensive products for defense intelligence
  • Ability to lead teams in researching multifaceted or critical problems
  • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal
