Position Summary

Credence has an immediate need for an experienced Education and Development Manager (Registrar) who will be primarily responsible for supporting the Air Force Institute of Technology Graduate School of Engineering and Management (AFIT/ENE) directorate at Wright Patterson AFB, OH.

AFIT's Graduate School of Engineering and Management focuses on high-quality graduate education and research. EN works on the leading edges of the technological disciplines that keep the Air Force dominance in defending the nation. The Graduate School provides graduate degrees and certificates in engineering, applied science, mathematics, and management. The appeal for the school's distinct educational opportunities is widespread and attracts high-quality students from the other United States (US) armed services, Government agencies both inside and outside the Department of Defense (DoD), coalition countries, and US citizens (civilians) from across the country.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the duties listed below:
  • Develop and provide technical expertise, reports, and data analyses to support the Air Force Institute of Technology, including the Offices of Admission and the Registrar, in achieving their missions of supporting students, faculty, and staff.
  • Utilize the Ellucian Colleague Student Information System (SIS) to extract and analyze data and prepare reports for academic and administrative staff within AFIT/EN.
  • Prepare new reports in a manner that allows designated users to produce them as needed by changing selection data to meet current requirements.
  • Acquire and apply knowledge of the structure of Ellucian Colleague software to analyze AFIT processes and prepare recommendations for system modifications and process improvements.
  • Implement approved recommendations to ensure the software performs at maximum efficiency and supports AFIT/EN mission requirements.
  • Apply knowledge of Ellucian Colleague rule-writing requirements to include rules as needed in the development of process definitions.
  • Use user documentation and training materials to prepare presentations and conduct training sessions for appropriate staff members, including AFIT/ENWE staff, departmental administrative support personnel, department heads and deputies, faculty, advisors, and students.
  • Manage all aspects of the Ellucian Colleague SIS in support of the Director of Admissions and Registrar (DAR), including training, security protocols, testing and debugging software patches and releases, report development, statistical analyses, and recommendations for more cost-effective system use.
  • Communicate closely with AFIT/A6 to ensure issues between the Oracle system and Ellucian Colleague are resolved quickly and efficiently.
  • Work with the Director of Student Services to prepare all-call rosters, distinguished graduate reports, and data related to the International Student Program.
  • Use Ad Astra room and class scheduling software and OnBase document management software to problem-solve and provide backup support when civilian personnel are unavailable.
  • Work with academic departments, the Offices of Academic Affairs and Institutional Research, and other personnel to provide data-mining services as requested.
  • Develop written training materials as requested.
  • Use Ellucian Colleague to assist in maintaining academic policies and procedures and maintain weekly project reports for the DAR.


Requirements

Requirements:
  • Clearance requirements: NACI
  • BS/BA degree in higher education or a related discipline.
  • Extensive, hands-on work experience with a Student Information System (SIS) program, including enrollment management functionality such as recruitment, admissions, registrar, and financial aid, as well as file structure and coding mechanisms.
  • Hands-on higher education experience in enrollment management, including admissions, registrar, and financial aid, as well as student services, institutional research, and academic affairs functions.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in BusinessObjects Info View.
