Responsibilities
- Lead the consistent implementation of Agile principles, practices, and processes across the delivery team.
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives, backlog refinement, working agreement sessions, and design workshops.
- Coach Product Owners and team members on Agile practices, effective facilitation, communication, and iterative delivery.
- Partner with the Product Owner to ensure alignment with business priorities and project goals.
- Promote the development of clear, high-quality user stories that support incremental delivery.
- Identify and remove impediments, risks, and blockers to delivery with ownership and urgency.
- Monitor team performance and sprint health using metrics such as burndown, velocity, and estimates versus actuals.
- Maintain Agile artifacts and visual task boards to ensure transparency into progress, dependencies, and risks.
- Support project initiation and planning activities, including coordinating meetings, engaging subject matter experts, resource planning, and schedule development.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement through retrospectives, metrics, and team feedback.
- Build and support self-organizing, collaborative, and results-driven teams that deliver high-quality solutions.
- Partner with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle to maintain alignment and drive successful delivery.
- Empower team members through servant leadership, accountability, and high-performance practices.
- 4+ years of experience as a Scrum Master or in an Agile team leadership role.
- Experience implementing and improving Agile delivery practices and processes.
- Facilitation experience with Agile ceremonies, including stand-ups, planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Coaching experience with Product Owners and delivery teams on Agile practices and communication.
- Experience partnering with Product Owners to align delivery with business priorities.
- Experience supporting project initiation and planning activities.
- Ability to track team performance using Agile metrics and tools.
- Proven ability to identify and resolve impediments and delivery risks.
- Strong leadership, facilitation, coaching, and stakeholder communication skills.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust suitability determination.
- Bachelor's degree in business, information technology, or related field.
- Experience supporting government health or public health programs.
- Experience working within Enterprise Performance Life Cycle frameworks.
- Experience using Agile project management tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.
- Experience leading distributed, remote, or hybrid Agile teams.
- Professional Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM, or SAFe Scrum Master).
Salary Range: $90,000.00 - $105,000.00
