ABOUT THE JOB
As Anduril continues to rapidly scale its footprint, we are seeking an experienced, highly autonomous, and strategic Southern California (SoCal) Regional Security Manager. You will own the physical security operations across Anduril's flagship region, which includes our global headquarters, cutting-edge R&D labs, and high-volume manufacturing facilities. You will be the principal subject matter expert and driver for physical security in our most visible and dense region. This role demands a leader who can govern complex contracted guard forces, design robust security frameworks for industrial and corporate environments, and partner directly with cross-functional stakeholders and executives to enable safe, rapid innovation.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Flagship Regional Leadership: Own and execute the physical security strategy for Anduril's high-density, multi-site Southern California footprint (including HQ, manufacturing, and testing facilities).
- Guard Force Governance: Govern and optimize a large-scale, high-tempo contracted guard force across multiple SoCal campuses. Establish robust SLA/KPI frameworks, conduct rigorous performance audits, and ensure high operational readiness.
- Site Expansion & Scaling: Act as the physical security lead for new facility build-outs, expansions, and site commissioning in the SoCal region. Partner with Real Estate and Facilities to integrate security-by-design principles into new builds.
- Advanced Risk & Vulnerability Assessments: Design and execute comprehensive physical security vulnerability assessments across corporate, R&D, and manufacturing environments. Provide data-driven risk-mitigation strategies to safeguard intellectual property and defense-related assets.
- Executive & High-Profile Event Support: Collaborate with the Executive Protection and Events teams to ensure robust physical security measures are implemented during VIP visits, board meetings, and high-profile corporate events at the HQ campus.
- Crisis Management & Incident Command: Serve as the regional security lead during critical incidents or business-disrupting events in Southern California. Lead localized crisis response and partner with business continuity teams to minimize operational impact.
- Investigations & Threat Resolution: Lead or support complex regional physical security investigations, leveraging CCTV and Access Control data to resolve incidents, and deliver executive-ready reports on root-cause analysis.
- Cross-Functional Influence: Build deep, trusted partnerships with local site leadership, Facilities, EHS, Manufacturing Operations, Legal, and HR. Effectively communicate security risks and solutions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Compliance & Technical Oversight: Ensure all regional security measures comply with Anduril's global standards, as well as federal government compliance standards (e.g., NISPOM, ICD 705, UL 2050) for classified environments.
- External Liaison: Serve as Anduril's primary point of contact for Southern California emergency services, local/federal law enforcement agencies, and regional private-sector security networks.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, Emergency Management, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- 8+ years of progressive physical security experience, with a heavy emphasis on managing multi-site corporate, industrial, or manufacturing campuses.
- Demonstrated experience managing large-scale, multi-facility contracted guard forces with high operational demands.
- Proven track record of operating with high autonomy, managing complex security programs in fast-paced, high-growth technology or defense environments.
- Deep technical expertise in physical security systems, including enterprise-level Access Control (ACS), Video Management (VMS), and Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS).
- Solid understanding of crisis management frameworks and experience running incident command during localized emergencies.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to confidently brief senior executives and cross-functional leaders.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance.
- Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export-controlled information or facilities.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous experience in the defense technology, aerospace, or advanced hardware manufacturing sectors.
- Active U.S. Government Security Clearance (Secret or TS/SCI).
- Familiarity with government security requirements such as NISPOM, ICD 705 (SCIF/SAPF environments), and UL 2050.
- Industry-recognized professional certifications (e.g., ASIS Certified Protection Professional [CPP] or Physical Security Professional [PSP]).
- Established relationships and network with local law enforcement (e.g., OCSD, CMPD) and emergency management agencies in Orange County/Southern California.
