Position Summary

Join a high-impact national defense program focused on the integration, assessment, and operational effectiveness of large-scale command, control, and mission management systems. This role supports the analysis of complex software-driven capabilities that coordinate sensor networks, defensive assets, and real-time operational decision-making across a distributed environment.

The selected candidate will work closely with engineering, test, and operational teams to evaluate system behavior, investigate anomalies, support mission scenarios, and provide technical insights that enhance system performance throughout development, testing, and operational activities.

Key Responsibilities
Conduct technical analysis of system and software performance in development, test, and operational environments.
Investigate anomalies, identify root causes, and assess software behavior across integrated system architectures.
Utilize a combination of automated and manual analysis techniques to evaluate functionality, performance, and operational effectiveness.
Develop and execute assessment methodologies to support scenario-based evaluations.
Collaborate with engineers, technical specialists, and cross-functional stakeholders to resolve issues and improve system capabilities.
Produce technical findings, recommendations, and reports for leadership, engineering teams, and customers.
Support system verification efforts by analyzing operational data and test results.
Interpret complex datasets to identify trends, behavioral patterns, and performance issues.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related technical discipline and at least 5 years of relevant experience; OR
Master's degree in a related technical field and 3 years of applicable experience; OR
Equivalent combination of education and experience totaling approximately 9 years in a related discipline.
Active DoD Secret security clearance that is current and eligible for immediate access.
Ability to travel occasionally (approximately 10%) based on program needs.
Demonstrated experience analyzing complex software-intensive systems and documenting findings related to performance, functionality, and system behavior.
Hands-on experience using MATLAB, Python, or comparable tools for scripting, automation, prototyping, data processing, and visualization.
Proficiency working with Linux environments, command-line utilities, databases, and spreadsheet-based analysis tools.
Experience applying statistical techniques and time-series analysis to investigate system performance and operational data.
Strong understanding of software and systems engineering methodologies throughout the development lifecycle.
Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to communicate highly technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Comfortable balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Desired Qualifications
Experience supporting integrated defense, mission management, sensor fusion, tracking, battlespace awareness, or command-and-control environments.
Background analyzing operational data, test results, software performance metrics, and complex system behaviors.
Strong foundation in mathematics and physics, including probability, statistics, linear algebra, coordinate systems, and temporal analysis.
Familiarity with Agile development practices and tools such as Jira and Confluence.
Experience developing automated assessment, monitoring, or data analysis solutions.
Ability to build custom analysis tools, parsers, and automation utilities using languages such as Python, MATLAB, Java, Bash, or similar technologies.
Knowledge of object-oriented programming concepts, SQL development, regular expressions, source control systems, and CI/CD pipelines.
Ability to review and interpret source code written in Java, C, or C++.
Experience supporting software validation, system-level integration efforts, and performance assessments within complex mission-critical environments.
