The Director, Acquisition Program Management (APM) will lead a portfolio of acquisition, contracting, cost, scheduling, and logistics capabilities within Serco's Agile Impact organization. Reporting to the Vice President, Agile Impact, this role is responsible for the operational, financial, growth, and people leadership of the APM organization, ensuring delivery excellence across a diverse portfolio of federal and defense customers.
As a member of the Agile Impact leadership team, the Director will be responsible for sustaining and strengthening Agile Impact's culture of collaboration, employee development, customer focus, and operational excellence while enabling continued organizational growth.
The Director will lead and develop a team of Managers overseeing acquisition professionals, contracting specialists, cost analysts, schedulers, and logistics personnel located across multiple customer locations. The Director will be accountable for workforce planning, employee engagement, customer delivery, utilization, profitability, and growth while ensuring the APM organization remains aligned with Agile Impact's strategic objectives.
The Director will partner closely with the Director of Mission Support and the Advanced Solutions Group senior leadership to deliver integrated, cross-functional solutions that combine acquisition, engineering, cyber, operations, logistics, and program execution expertise to solve complex customer challenges.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead a portfolio of Managers responsible for acquisition, contracting, cost estimating, scheduling, and logistics services
- Serve as a steward of the Agile Impact culture by fostering collaboration, employee engagement, talent development, accountability, and knowledge sharing across managers and teams
- Establish strategic priorities, operating rhythms, and performance expectations across the APM organization.
- Provide leadership and oversight for workforce planning, staffing, employee development, succession planning, recruiting, and retention activities
- Ensure delivery excellence, customer satisfaction, and effective execution across all assigned customer programs and support activities
- Partner with the Director of Mission Support to develop and deliver integrated customer solutions that leverage the full breadth of Agile Impact capabilities
- Support large capture efforts, proposal development, and growth campaigns by shaping differentiated acquisition and mission support solutions
- Oversee acquisition planning, contracting strategy development, cost analysis, schedule management, logistics planning, and lifecycle support activities
- Support rapid acquisition initiatives utilizing innovative contracting approaches, including SBIRs, OTAs, CSOs, and commercial solution pathways
- Drive adoption of data analytics, automation, digital tools, and process improvements that improve customer outcomes and operational efficiency
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators related to delivery quality, workforce health, utilization, revenue growth, operating profit, and customer satisfaction
- Achieve direct labor, utilization, revenue, operating profit, and growth objectives for the APM portfolio
- Develop and manage annual labor and non-labor budgets while ensuring effective stewardship of indirect investments and resources
- Ensure alignment with Agile Impact governance, management expectations, and Serco enterprise best practices
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Active Top Secret Security Clearance
- US citizenship required
- Minimum of a Bachelors degree
- 15+ years of experience supporting Federal Government or DoD customers in acquisition, program management, contracting, logistics, cost estimating, scheduling, or related mission support disciplines
- Demonstrated success leading managers and multi-disciplinary professional services organizations within a matrixed environment.
- Experience managing workforce planning, employee development, resource allocation, and delivery execution across geographically dispersed teams
- Proven ability to manage business performance, including utilization, revenue growth, operating profit, and indirect budget execution
- Experience supporting business development, capture, proposal, and growth activities
- Strong customer relationship management and executive communication skills
- Ability to partner across functional organizations to deliver integrated customer solutions
- Ability to travel up to 25%
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience leading an organization that provides surge, on-demand, or specialized professional services across multiple customers and locations
- Experience integrating acquisition, contracting, logistics, cost, and schedule support into a unified service offering
- Experience supporting major DoD acquisition programs, PEOs, SYSCOMs, or defense organizations
- DAWIA, PMP, CPCM, or related professional certification
