Modeling and Simulation Engineer

Abacus Technology is seeking a Modeling and Simulation Engineer to support modeling and simulation activities for a key program at Hanscom AFB. This is a full-time position.

• Develop and maintain computational models and simulations to support system design, analysis, and testing.
• Collaborate with engineers and analysts to define simulation requirements and parameters.
• Perform simulation runs and analyze results to identify system performance issues and recommend improvements.
• Document simulation methodologies, assumptions, and results.
• Support integration of simulation results into system-level analysis and decision-making processes.
• Stay current with advancements in modeling and simulation tools and techniques.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in modeling and simulation, preferably in a defense or aerospace environment.
• Proven experience with simulation tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, ANSYS, or similar tools.
• Strong understanding of system engineering principles and model-based design methodologies.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Active DoD security clearance required.

• Experience with specific simulation frameworks or tools used by the DoD or intelligence community.
• Knowledge of system performance analysis and trade-off studies.
• Experience working in a contract environment with government customers.
