Job Description

Position Title : Logistics/Warehouse Specialist

Location : Fort Bliss, Texas

Clearance required : SECRET

Scope: Hands-on warehouse and supply functions at Fort Bliss: receiving, inventory, MRO, packaging, Care of Supplies in Storage (COSIS), property control, and materiel handling equipment (MHE) operation. Executes the full range of physical supply chain management tasks for the B64 Missile and B17 Aviation SOS systems to PWS time and accuracy standards.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
  • Perform the full range of supply chain management tasks, including wholesale and retail inventory operations; requisition and MRO processing; management of unserviceable items and materiel retrograde; transportation management; packaging management; hazardous material management; classified and sensitive material management; warehouse management; property book management and oversight; controlled substitution (cannibalization); Army Total Package Fielding (TPF); COSIS; and disposition of material/equipment through the local DLA-DS.
  • Be proficient in Army Working Capital Fund (AWCF) and Single Stock Fund (SSF) operations; operate LMP and STAMIS.
  • Process MROs IAW AR 725-50, MILSTRIP, MILSTRAP, and MILSTAMP; process Stock Transport Orders (STOs); obtain proper requisition documentation before issue; verify customer signature cards.
  • Access, download, and deliver all MROs/STOs within one day of receipt, meeting: NMCS within 4 hours; IPG 1 within 4 hours; OSD/JCS project codes within 4 hours; IPG 2 and IPG 3 no later than close of business the day of receipt. Process receipts same day: DIC D4/D6 within 8 hours; all other DICs within 24 hours.
  • Process discrepant shipments IAW MILSTRIP/MILSTAMP; submit SDRs and TDRs and maintain a database with follow-ups until resolved.
  • Pack and crate Class IX supply items IAW AR 700-15 and DA PAM 746-1 using provided Packaging Data Sheets.
  • Perform basic COSIS functions (re-packaging, re-labeling, technical inspections to verify item condition).
  • Conduct physical inventory of each stock item at least annually (AR 740-26); conduct special inventories the same day requested.
  • Perform wholesale warehousing, optimize warehouse space utilization, maintain inventory control and stock accountability, and apply FIFO stock rotation.
  • Track and report warehouse denials, keeping denial rates below 3 percent for all issues.
  • Inspect and process serviceable turn-ins within 4 hours of receipt and unserviceable turn-ins within 8 hours; perform ARI processing (inspect/document unserviceable materiel, verify serviceability, identify missing parts, confirm NSN/part numbers, determine source of repair, track disposition IAW MILSTRAP/MILSTAMP).
  • Perform transportation duties for Class IX repair parts and equipment; at least two individuals must complete the CONUS Freight Management Electronic Transportation Acquisition Training Course to serve as AMCOM Transportation Agents; use RFID IAW DFARS 211.275-2 and 252.211-7006.
  • Operate GFP (forklifts, pickup trucks, stake bed trucks, warehouse MHE) properly licensed IAW installation/post regulations and OSHA; at least two individuals shall hold a Class A Operator's Permit and at least three shall hold a Class B or higher Operator's Permit.
  • Control classified and sensitive material IAW the applicable Weapon System Security Classification Guides, AR 190-13, and NISPOM 5220.22-M.
  • Ensure trained/certified personnel are on-site for HAZMAT handling, packaging, and transportation; provide certification for the Defense Packaging of Hazardous Material for Transportation Course and the Defense Hazardous Materials and Waste Generator Compliance Course.


Qualifications

  • High School Diploma
  • 5+ years Army logistics/warehouse operations.
  • OSHA MHE/forklift licenses, HAZMAT certifications, Army STAMIS (LMP, GCSS-Army)
