Job Description

Position Summary

Odyssey Systems has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Equipment Specialist to support the Advanced Training Capabilities Division (AFLCMC/WNR). You'll provide expert logistics, equipment oversight, and configuration management for advanced Air Force training systems, ensuring readiness and sustainment across a diverse portfolio of warfighter training programs. This role supports acquisition, technical integration, and lifecycle management activities that enable WNR's mission to deliver advanced training capabilities for evolving operational needs.

This is a full-time position at Hill AFB in Ogden, UT.

Responsibilities

In this role you will provide Equipment Specialist support that will provide CM activities and apply logistics best commercial practices and DoD directed concepts such as Performance-Based Logistics (PBL), public private partnering, and supply chain management. Perform configuration management tasks and apply the principles, criteria, and procedures of CM in support of systems and equipment acquired or sustained.

Duties include, but not limited to:

Technical Order & Configuration Management
  • Review and update hardware/software specifications, ensuring compliance with program standards
  • Maintain, ship, and track drawing packages and revisions
  • Prepare and support Time Compliance Technical Orders (TCTOs), TO validation/verification, TO lifecycle planning, and digital TO system transition
  • Manage configuration documentation, baselines, DRs, AFTO 22s, AFTO 252s, parts lists, and CM records
  • Support change control processes including ACSNs, ECPs, RD/RWs, Service Bulletins, QCPs, and CCB-related activities
  • Produce monthly configuration and deficiency metrics

Engineering, Audits & Program Support
  • Provide technical analysis for field, depot, and modification issues
  • Support OSS&E baselines, engineering plans, and system-specific drawing development
  • Attend/support FCAs, PCAs, compliance audits, CI audits, and TIMs (including minutes and action tracking)
  • Review change proposals for impacts and compliance; maintain historical records

Data Systems & Logistics
  • Access and utilize data from Blazer, IMDS, HFGCS tools, Communications Control Management System, and other enterprise systems for OSS&E/CM reporting
  • Monitor parts listings, identify missing NSN items, and process DLA entries
  • Support provisioning, source coding, maintenance data collection, and logistics documentation
  • Conduct Logistics Supportability Analysis to ensure SRU/LRU part availability

Inventory, Maintenance & User Support
  • Maintain and physically verify GFE inventory
  • Provide technical maintenance and TO support to users via phone, email, meetings, or field visits
  • Assist TOMA with TO cataloging, tracking, and user support requirements
  • Complete forms (873, 874, 875) and coordinate TO data requirements

Acquisition, Compliance & Government Interface
  • Evaluate Air Force directives and ensure compliance with Government and USAF standards
  • Provide feedback to Government on Combat & Mission Support Systems effectiveness
  • Support IPTs with research on maintenance and equipment management

Readiness, Systems & Specialty Expertise
  • Maintain system baselines, including part substitutions and CAGE updates
  • Use Government software tools to identify readiness issues and recommend improvements
  • Support logistics, provisioning, CM, technical order management, deficiency evaluations, and supply chain alternatives
  • Apply knowledge of Range systems, radar, and electronics systems across system and subsystem levels


Qualifications

Citizenship: Must be a US citizen

Minimum Required Qualifications:

Clearance: Must have and be able to maintain a Secret level Clearance

Education: Bachelor's Degree in a related field and 12 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, 5 years of which must be in the DoD OR
    • 15 years of directly related experience, 8 years of which must be in the DoD

Preferred Qualifications:

Education: Master's or Doctorate Degree in a related field and at least 10 years of experience in the respective technical / professional discipline being performed, 5 years of which must be in the DoD

Technical Skills
  • Management of program equipment requirements
  • Acquisition support and familiarity with DoD 5000-series processes
  • Time Compliance Technical Order (TCTO) experience
  • Configuration Management (CM) and technical order lifecycle support
  • Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) inventory management
  • Proficiency with Technical Order Systems and equipment management systems
  • Advanced use of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
