Job Description

Duties

  • You will explain changes to technical procedures and determine proper material safety precautions.
  • You will advise other employees on existing instructions to ensure deadlines are met.
  • You will monitor and ensure safety requirements are followed and tools and equipment are used properly.
  • You will provide oral and written instruction, outlining quality and quantity of work and inspection requirements, and general work/inspection methods and procedures.
  • You will also perform the duties of a Mechanical Inspector; setting the pace, including demonstrating proper methods.

  • This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, rotating shifts, overtime, and holidays to meet mission requirements.
  • Must be able to obtain an interim and/or final (e.g., confidential/secret/top secret, etc.) security clearance prior to entrance on duty AND must be able to maintain the required level of clearance while employed in the subject position.

Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time.

- Receive instructions and establish work priorities.
- Determine proper material safety precautions and demonstrate proper work and inspection methods.
- Ensure required technical procedures, plans, blueprints, materials and tools are available and assembled to support assigned work.
- Answer inquiries regarding procedure, policy, written instructions and directives.
