User Support Engineer
Location: Ft. Meade, MD (onsite)
Clearance: Secret
Position Overview: This position provides systems engineering and end-user computing support across solution design, system integration, operational assessment, security compliance, documentation, and deployment activities. The role requires hands-on expertise with Microsoft endpoint technologies and the ability to lead collaborative technical efforts in a mission-focused environment.
Responsibilities
Complete activities supporting system integration, system evaluation and analysis, site surveys, verification and validation, cost and risk analysis, and supportability and effectiveness analysis for total systems and architectures.
Conduct advanced research and analysis of current systems to support strategic implementation plans and designs; document and mitigate risks and lessons learned; and provide regular updates.
Research and collaborate with vendors and teams such as R&D, Server, and Network groups, and recommend ways to leverage emerging technology to improve mission assurance.
Conduct engineering technical analysis to resolve issues through the application of engineering theories and concepts.
Support operational assessment and documentation of system security and compliance posture to maintain accreditation.
Provide input to project schedules, identify and mitigate risks, document lessons learned, and deliver regular stakeholder updates.
Develop implementation plans, standard operating procedures, schedules, and related documents and artifacts.
Support desktop release and deployment activities, including desktop support, imaging, Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM), and Microsoft Intune.
Knowledge and Skills
Demonstrated flexibility to multitask, refocus, and shift priorities in support of mission, warfighter, and customer requirements.
Ability to work effectively on team-oriented or independent projects.
Ability to lead a multifunctional team, prioritize actions, and support customer requirements.
Excellent technical writing and presentation skills.
Strong understanding of network architecture, servers, systems design, virtual hosts, configuration management, and licensing.
Ability to visualize proposed solutions in diagrams, feasibility documents, and reports, including familiarity with OV-1 and SV-1 diagrams.
Ability to document standard operating procedures and user or technical guides.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to organize and facilitate planning sessions and demonstrations.
Ability to track, manage, and ensure project tasks are completed on time.
Ability to form and lead integrated product teams (IPTs) to support activities and meet customer requirements.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or a combination of technical training, certifications, and experience.
Five or more years of systems engineering design and operations experience.
Seven or more years of experience configuring, securing, and troubleshooting end-user computing devices.
Solution engineering, design, and transition experience with SCCM, MECM, Microsoft Intune, VMware, Azure Virtual Desktop Infrastructure, desktop endpoint solutions including Apple products, and virtual hosting/data storage management.
IAT Level II certification, such as Security+ CE or an appropriate DoDM 8570 baseline certification, required before start.
Active Secret clearance.
Must be a U.S. citizen.
Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range: $75,000-$125,000 (Compensation is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, work experience, skills, education, certifications, seniority, and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.)
