Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Personnel Security/Adjudication Specialist to support a federal national security program in McLean, VA. This individual will independently review complex background investigations and make security clearance determinations in accordance with federal adjudicative policies and guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
Review Reports of Investigation (ROIs), polygraph results, continuous vetting alerts, and other investigative information.
Make security clearance determinations using the whole-person concept and the 13 National Security Adjudicative Guidelines.
Apply policies including SEAD 4, ICD 704, and applicable Executive Orders when evaluating potentially derogatory information.
Review issues involving areas such as foreign influence, financial considerations, and personal conduct.
Draft written adjudicative rationales and documentation, including Letters of Intent (LOIs) and Statements of Reason (SORs) for clearance denials or revocations.
Request supplemental investigations and conduct or support PRSI subject interviews when additional information is needed.
Coordinate with federal law enforcement, counterintelligence, and other security partners as necessary.
Maintain accurate case information and status updates within national security databases.
Required Qualifications:
Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph.
5+ years of personnel security, security adjudication, or closely related experience.
Hands-on experience reviewing background investigations and evaluating information for security clearance eligibility.
Knowledge of federal personnel security policies and adjudicative guidelines.
Strong written communication skills with the ability to clearly document adjudicative decisions and rationale.
Ability to work onsite in McLean, VA.
