We are pleased to announce the opening for a Senior Systems Engineer who will join our Mission Engineering team at the Missile Defense Integration & Operations Center (MDIOC) / On-site and become part of our rapidly growing technology company operating in missile defense, cybersecurity, test range modernization, biotechnology, and space control marketspaces. You will be part of a team known for systems engineering governance, technical baseline integrity, system-of-systems integration, and mission support.
Responsibilities:
- Standards & Enforcement: Enforce the MDIOC technical baseline by defining engineering standards, identifying documentation gaps, and verifying that all processes are rigorously followed to ensure program integrity. Ensure the strict accuracy and integrity of the MDIOC Technical Baseline
- Process Optimization & Integration: Drive the continuous improvement of MDIOC systems by assessing current processes, providing data-driven recommendations for optimization, and spearheading the seamless integration of new solutions across diverse environments. Develop and manage the "system of systems" (SoS) integration strategy and the overarching MDIOC strategic roadmap. Hands-on experience using SE, data analytics, and optimization tools (such as Power BI and Cameo). Proven ability to utilize these tools for requirements management, end-to-end traceability, system integration, modeling, Validation and Verification (V&V) support, change management support, and automated reporting.
- Program Health & Technical Oversight: Monitor and report on overall systems engineering program health, providing expert guidance on complex technical issues and overseeing the implementation of best practices to enhance system reliability and performance. Oversee all major engineering plans and act as the adjudicator for program-level technical reviews. Establish and continuously review system performance metrics to rapidly identify, report on, and mitigate anomalies or degradation.
- Rapid Response & Anomaly Resolution: Lead the rapid assessment and execution of engineering solutions to resolve system anomalies, defining clear processes and documentation to ensure zero mission impact. Provide dynamic operational response by handling a share of unscheduled technical support and emergent data calls.
- You must have a Bachelor's degree in a STEM field from an accredited institution.
- You will need at least 7 years of full-time professional experience.
- You must possess or be able to obtain an active Secret clearance.
- You must be a U.S. citizen to be eligible for this position.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven experience driving organizational change and challenging established norms to implement new, forward-thinking technical initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to design, stand up, and execute new engineering governance structures, such as Engineering Review Boards, from inception rather than only maintaining legacy processes.
- Experience staying current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and engineering best practices and providing technical guidance, oversight, and tradecraft mentorship to other systems engineers.
- Hands-on experience using systems engineering, data analytics, and optimization tools such as Power BI and Cameo.
- Experience using engineering tools for requirements management, end-to-end traceability, system integration, modeling, V&V support, change-management support, and automated reporting.
- Experience developing and managing system-of-systems integration strategies and strategic roadmaps.
- Experience establishing system performance metrics and using them to identify, report, and mitigate anomalies or degradation.
