Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate should hold a bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, Systems, or Project Engineering, or equivalent technical experience, with progressive experience in the space systems sector. Operating as a multi-disciplinary technical leader, the candidate will drive systems and project engineering lifecycle processes, to include defining system architectures, managing requirements, and leading cross-functional Integrated Product Teams (IPT) to bridge the gap between technical execution and program milestones. The core focus of this role involves leading the integration, calibration, and testing of complex instrumentation and sensor payloads, alongside overseeing the design, reliability analysis, and certification of Flight Termination Systems (FTS). The candidate must possess expertise in Range Safety compliance, ensuring strict adherence to RCC Requirements and associated military space range requirements. Desirable credentials include Project Management Professional (PMP) and INCOSE Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) certifications. Finally, the candidate must hold an active Secret security clearance and be thoroughly familiar with the Range missions, roles, functions, and organizational structures of the Department of War (DoW), Air Force, and United States Space Force (USSF).
Knowledge, Skill & Abilities:
1. Knowledge of professional electronics engineering concepts, principles, practices, standards, methods, techniques, materials, and equipment to effectively apply advanced engineering theories, principles, and concepts to project development, execution, and advisory services.
2. Knowledge of development testing and evaluation sufficient to apply experimental theories and new applications to issues and provide technical advice and direction in support of weapon systems, subsystems, and/or support equipment.
3. Knowledge of range instrumentation and systems, integrated air-vehicles, ground systems, and support equipment sufficient to plan, design, test, troubleshoot, evaluate, and oversee the development and/or sustainment of electronic systems or devices.
4. Knowledge of the principles of planning and program management, standard acquisition regulations, practices, and procedures; and other engineering disciplines.
5. Ability to devise and evaluate criteria, parameters, characteristics, and interrelationships for design approaches, and to assess the impact of new technology on current systems and processes.
6. Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and with technical accuracy, both orally and in writing, as well as work in a professional manner with peers, management, contractors, academia, and other agencies.

- Must be a U.S Citizen.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- A professional engineering degree at the bachelor s level from an ABET accredited institution in engineering or a closely related field is required.
- May be required to work overtime on an unscheduled or emergency basis.
- Eligible for situational telework only, including Emergency and OPM prescribed "Unscheduled Telework".
- This position will close after 5 business days or 75 applications, whichever comes first.
- Employee may be required to perform travel by military or commercial passenger aircraft in the performance of temporary duty assignments.
- PCS / relocation funding is available and may be offered.
- Subject to Temporary Duty Assignment (TDY): Approximately 15 days per year.
