Programmer, Senior needed for a long-term contract opportunity with SOC's client to work in Camp Lejeune, NC.
The Programmer, Senior provides full-time, on-site software development and application support for a long-term contract supporting the U.S. Marine Corps at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. The position leads the development and sustainment of web-based, multi-user solutions used to document and audit personnel training, schedules, permissions, and access-related processes. The Senior Programmer also supports customized reporting, enterprise application integrations, knowledge-management activities, and full Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) work in a Department of Defense environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee creation and sustainment of web-based, multi-user solutions that document and audit personnel training, schedules, permissions, and related records.
- Apply current web-development technologies and practices to develop and review customized reports and views that reduce management effort.
- Facilitate access-related work processes and provide the Government insight into personnel groups and permissions.
- Lead development of extensible search capabilities, customized reports and statistics, export functions, and history/event tracking.
- Integrate applications with Microsoft SharePoint Web Parts and Microsoft Active Directory.
- Apply enterprise-level best practices for code development and technical documentation.
- Manage and support .NET, SQL Server, and ASP.NET applications.
- Develop and maintain solutions using SQL Server 2008, HTML, CSS, C#, and JavaScript.
- Support knowledge-management activities, full SDLC execution, and web-development efforts.
- Communicate technical issues, recommendations, and status clearly to Government and contractor stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Active Secret security clearance.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems (MIS), Business, or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of general information technology experience.
- At least one year of knowledge-management experience.
- Experience developing and managing web-based, multi-user solutions in an enterprise environment.
- Hands-on experience with .NET, SQL Server, ASP.NET, HTML, CSS, C#, and JavaScript.
- Experience with Microsoft SharePoint Web Part integration and Microsoft Active Directory integration.
- Experience with full SDLC activities and web development.
- Experience working in a Department of Defense environment.
- DoD 8570 Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level III certification. Must possess and maintain one current certification meeting DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level III requirements, such as SecurityX/CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP, CCSP, GCED, or GCIH.
- Microsoft programming certification.
- Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) version 3 Foundation certification.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting U.S. Marine Corps or other Department of Defense enterprise IT environments.
- Experience with jQuery and TypeScript.
- Experience leading enterprise web-application development and sustainment.
Skills and Competencies
- Strong enterprise web-development and application-integration skills.
- Strong understanding of access management, reporting, search, export, and event-tracking capabilities.
- Ability to lead technical work and collaborate with Government, contractor, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Commitment to code quality, documentation, and professional communication.
