Job Description

Job Summary:
Join our team at EnProVera and provide essential support to attorneys by managing clerical tasks, conducting legal research, and assisting in the preparation of legal documents. This role is crucial in ensuring the efficient operation of the legal department and facilitating the smooth progression of legal cases.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct legal research and gather pertinent information to assist attorneys in case preparation.
- Draft and proofread legal documents, correspondence, and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with legal standards.
- Organize and maintain legal files, ensuring all documents are filed correctly and accessible when needed.
- Coordinate and schedule meetings, appointments, and court appearances for attorneys.
- Communicate effectively with clients, witnesses, and other parties involved in legal proceedings to gather information and relay messages.
- Assist in the preparation for trials by organizing exhibits, preparing trial binders, and coordinating logistics.
- Support attorneys in the discovery process by managing document production and reviewing materials.
- Stay updated with changes in laws and regulations to ensure compliance and advise the legal team accordingly.
- Perform administrative duties such as answering phones, managing emails, and handling correspondence to support the legal department's daily operations.

Qualifications

Required Education:
- Associate's degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, or a related field. A Bachelor's degree is preferred.

Required Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working in a legal environment, such as a law firm, corporate legal department, or government agency.
- Experience with legal research and document preparation.
- Familiarity with legal terminology and procedures.

Required Skills and Abilities:
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and legal research databases.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in handling legal documents and correspondence.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret and apply legal information.
- Professional demeanor and ability to maintain confidentiality.
