Job Description

CLASSIFICATION: Exempt
SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT: Secret 
PAY RANGE: $60,000 - $68,000
LOCATION: 600 19th Street NW, Washington, DC 20006 (Passport Headquarters)
WORK HOURS/DAYS: 8am-4:45pm/Monday-Friday)
REPORT TO: Contract Supervisor

The Business Process Analyst I shall evaluate business processes and workflows, making practical recommendations for process improvements, and assisting with the implementation and validation of any process changes.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
• Bachelor’s Degree and three (3) years of experience; or six (6) years of experience in business process reengineering, statistical data analyst.
• Proficient in utilizing a variety of Microsoft office software (i.e., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio and Outlook.)
• Demonstrated advanced level experience in MS SharePoint and MS Access.
• Experience with change management techniques that facilitate adoption of new or revised work processes.
• Experience with statistics, data analysis, data driven computation.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Excellent written and oral communication skills to draft analytical reports and white papers, communicate with management, conduct data collection interviews, and present results, conclusions, and recommendations
• Strong technical business process analysis and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to extract and analyze data, patterns, and related trends, with the subsequent ability to synthesize the data into information consumable by Senior Management decision makers.
• Strong knowledge of, or ability to quickly learn, passport application acceptance policies and procedures.
• Ability to handle Sensitive But Unclassified (SBU) and personally identifiable information (PII) with discretion.

DUTIES/TASKS:
• Conduct comparative process assessments across locations in order to identify opportunities for increased standardization, knowledge transfer of best practices, and potential workload sharing.
• Collect, monitor, and analyze process metrics to identify trends and opportunities for potential improvement.
• Complete projects that require data mining, analysis, and presentation.
• Focus on solutions, dive into projects, and quickly identify drivers in the data.
• Identify relevant trends, do follow-up analysis, prepare visualizations.
• Develop dashboards to track remediation of issues.
• Design and execute business process improvement studies.
• Ability to travel domestically (and potentially internationally) to attend workshops and shadow facility inspections.
