Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Communications Technician / Shop Manager to oversee daily operations and maintenance activities at the Bren Mar facility under Government direction. This hands-on leadership position manages shop workflow, service tickets, equipment accountability, maintenance, programming, testing, repair, and deployment readiness for TACCOM systems.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Oversee daily shop operations and maintenance tasks
• Track, assign, prioritize, and resolve TACCOM taskings and service tickets
• Support operation and maintenance of the customers land mobile radio system
• Perform and coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance

• Provide status updates, maintenance documentation, and timely issue escalation
• Execute work efficiently in accordance with Government direction, safety practices, and mission requirements
Requirements
• Eight or more years of experience operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, programming, testing, installing, or repairing communications systems, including at least five years supporting LMR, P25, or comparable public-safety communications systems, preferred. Prior experience leading technicians or managing communications-shop operations is strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated experience operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, programming, testing, installing, and repairing LMR, P25, encrypted tactical communications systems, subscriber equipment, and related infrastructure
• Technical knowledge of radio programming and preventive and corrective maintenance
• Experience managing service tickets, equipment accountability, and communications-shop operations
• Experience in a federal law-enforcement or comparable public-safety communications environment
• Ability to oversee daily O&M activities and lead technical personnel in a mission-focused shop
• Must be able to obtain and maintain the DHS/ICE suitability determination required for access to ICE systems and facilities
• U.S. citizenship required because the position involves the operation, management, or maintenance of DHS IT systems
