Our client is seeking a Senior DSP Systems Engineer to support the design and development of advanced space-based communication systems for commercial, civil, and national security programs. This role will support satellite communication payloads across the full lifecycle, from concept studies and system definition through development, integration, verification, and test.

Our client is seeking a Senior DSP Systems Engineer to support the design and development of advanced space-based communication systems for commercial, civil, and national security programs. This role will support satellite communication payloads across the full lifecycle, from concept studies and system definition through development, integration, verification, and test.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop next-generation RF and digital satellite communication systems.
- Develop, analyze, and verify multi-rate fixed-point DSP architectures.
- Define, allocate, and verify requirements and interfaces for digital communication payloads.
- Develop performance models, link budgets, and signal processing analyses.
- Support payload trade studies to improve performance, cost, and schedule.
- Develop prototype demonstrations on communication subsystem testbeds.
- Support ASIC and FPGA system design, verification, and integration.
- Participate in design reviews, hardware procurement, unit testing, and sell-off activities.
- Ability to obtain a US Government Security Clearance (REQUIRES US Citizenship)
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Data Science, or related technical field.
- 6+ years of signal processing or image processing experience.
- 10+ years of electronic systems engineering experience.
- Experience with digital signal processing and systems engineering.
- Active Secret Clearance
- Master's or Ph.D. with a focus in signal processing, communications, or algorithm development.
- Experience developing algorithms for ASIC or FPGA implementation.
- Experience with Simulink, Python, C++, or similar modeling/programming tools.
- Experience with verification planning, performance simulations, and hardware integration.
- Prior satellite, space systems, RF communications, or aerospace experience.
- 14+ years of related technical experience, or equivalent education and experience.
