This position requires onsite work in Tucson, AZ and an active Secret security Clearance. Candidates who do not hold this clearance are not eligible for hire.
Solidus is looking for a hands-on Electrical Engineer to own the full lifecycle of test system development-from initial concept through lab integration and final production.
In this role, you won't just sit behind a desk; you will work directly with modern tools and advanced systems to troubleshoot, innovate, and build high-impact test solutions. Day in the Life:
- Design and integrate test system hardware, interface assemblies, and associated components
- Develop engineering and production test solutions, including cabling, schematics, and circuit analysis
- Support all phases of test product development while managing technical, cost, and schedule requirements
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues throughout test system implementation and deployment
- Collaborate within multidisciplinary teams to deliver reliable, production ready test products
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Active Secret clearance is required
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience.
- Bachelor's Degree
- Cultural fit amongst a collaborative team environment
- Work with Cross functional team to coordinate electrical engineer design and integration tasking
- Experience with factory/laboratory test instrumentation, electronics (Ex. oscilloscopes, power supplies, digital multimeters, network analyzers, etc)
- Ability to read drawings/schematics and troubleshoot hardware and test equipment instrumentation in Factory Test Platform solutions
- Experience performing analog, digital, and/or RF designs at subsystem or system level
- Experience with commonly used electrical engineering design and analysis tools including but not limited to: Creo Schematic, Mentor Capital, Altium, DX Designer
- Basic or introductory knowledge of common software languages (C/C++/C#) to a level of reading/following code for EEs
- Knowledge of computer hardware interface and data protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, RS-422, ethernet, SPI, CAN, etc
Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
- Software experience controlling test instrumentation via LabVIEW, software SCPI commands, or similar
- Experience designing/integrating full engineering and production test systems (analog, digital, mixed signal, RF), test interface adapters, interconnect drawings, mixed-signal cabling, technical drawing creation, schematic creation, circuit design and analysis
