Communications Technician (6086)

Ghostrock, LLC, a subsidiary of Three Saints Bay, LLC and a recognized leader in Federal Government contracting, is seeking a Communication Systems Technician to join our team in San Diego, CA. This role supports U.S. Navy Ships or Submarines under the direction of Southwest Regional Maintenance Center (SWRMC) and serves as the technical Subject Matter Expert (SME).

Responsibilities:

• Direct, oversee repair activities, train, troubleshoot, diagnose, and maintain the following:
  • Tactical Link Systems and SATCOM
  • AN/USC-61 (C) Digital Modular Radio (DMR)
  • AN/WSC-9 (V) Navy Multiband Terminal (NMT)
• Provide technical support for procurement, installation, at-sea testing, preventive/corrective maintenance, and lifecycle management of systems.
• Interpret technical manuals, apply repair standards, and maintain accurate technical documentation.

Required Qualifications:

• US Citizen
• Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance.
• High School Diploma or equivalent, Navy Schools desired
• 4+ years of related experience with associated systems. Desired, but not required systems include:
  • Commercial Broadband Satellite Program (CBSP)
  • Global Broadcast Service (GBS)
  • Legacy EHF/SHF
  • AN/WSC-6
• Proficient in troubleshooting and maintaining communication systems.
• Strong technical comprehension with the ability to read and interpret manuals and standards.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and related technical applications.

Physical Requirements:

• Frequent standing, walking, sitting, reaching, and handling tools/equipment.
• Regular verbal and auditory communication.
• Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to board ships and naval crafts, navigating passageways and steep ladders.
• Comfortable working in shipboard and industrial environments.

The hiring range for this position is: $32.00 - $48.00 based on experience
