Job Description
Help shape how the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) communicates with Congress and preserves its own history. As a Technical Editor/Writer, you'll polish the notifications and briefing materials that go to U.S. Legislative Staff one day, then dig into archives and historical narratives bound for the DIA Heritage Museum the next. It's a rare mix: high-stakes, fast-turnaround Hill-facing writing paired with deep historical research, done at the heart of the nation's defense intelligence mission.
Join FWI as a T echnical Editor/Writer, Level 2 to support the DIA Office of Communication & Engagement (OCE). This is a blended role split between two OCC missions: supporting the Congressional Relations Branch's notifications to U.S. Legislative Staff and the Strategic Communications Branch's briefings, articles, and other communications products; and supporting the DIA History Branch's (HSTB) research, writing, and oral history mission, including materials for the DIA Heritage Museum. You will produce polished, accurate, on-deadline written products for both Capitol Hill-facing and historical audiences, working closely with OCC and HSTB staff throughout.
