Windows & Linux System Administrator

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Windows & Linux System Administrator to support a company focused on secure Research, Development, Test, and Evaluation (RDT&E) environments and mission-critical network operations supporting NIWC Pacific . This position is on-site in San Diego, CA . The Windows & Linux System Administrator will maintain and secure Windows and Linux infrastructure, support systems engineering initiatives, and implement automation solutions across secure environments. Responsibilities for the Windows & Linux System Administrator include:

• Administer and maintain Windows 11 and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) systems across secure environments
• Develop, maintain, and execute PowerShell and Bash scripts to automate system administration tasks
• Support infrastructure engineering efforts, including technical design reviews and implementation of new capabilities
• Ensure compliance with DISA security requirements through STIG implementation, patch management, and system hardening
• Utilize Ansible playbooks for automation and assist with asset management, SOP development, procurement activities, and equipment logistics

Required Qualifications for the Windows & Linux System Administrator include:

• 3+ years of experience administering Windows systems
• 3+ years of experience administering RHEL systems
• Experience developing and utilizing PowerShell and Bash scripting
• Experience with the IAVM process, including STIG implementation and patch management
• Experience with Ansible automation and endpoint security preferred
• Active Secret Security Clearance
• IAT Level II Certification, such as Security+ CE, GSEC, SCNP, or SSCP

Compensation for the Windows & Linux System Administrator include:

Salary Range: Depending on experience
