Position Overview
STi is seeking an experienced Aircraft Logs and Records Technician to support VP-62 aircraft maintenance operations at NAS Jacksonville, Florida.
The Aircraft Logs and Records Technician is responsible for maintaining aircraft and engine logbooks, maintenance records, and associated aviation documentation. This position performs data entry, retrieval, records management, reporting, database support, and administrative functions necessary to maintain accurate and complete aircraft maintenance records.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
• Maintain aircraft and engine logbooks and associated maintenance records.
• Perform aircraft records administration, data entry, retrieval, validation, and records maintenance.
• Ensure aircraft maintenance documentation is accurate, complete, current, and maintained in accordance with applicable NAMP requirements.
• Perform operator functions associated with automated aircraft maintenance recordkeeping systems.
• Enter, retrieve, review, and analyze aircraft maintenance data and correct identified record or data-entry discrepancies.
• Perform networking functions between individual workstations and assist with identifying and correcting errors associated with software, hardware, or data entry.
• Extract aircraft maintenance data and prepare, formulate, and interpret management reports.
• Create and maintain archives, backups, and data saves to support aircraft maintenance operations.
• Support records requirements associated with military deployments and detachment operations.
• Maintain documentation related to Technical Directive (TD) compliance and other applicable maintenance programs.
• Support NALCOMIS/OOMA data entry, recordkeeping, and data analysis requirements, as applicable.
• Prepare reports, correspondence, forms, and other administrative documentation related to aircraft maintenance.
• Perform database and records analysis to identify discrepancies and maintain data integrity.
• Maintain organized electronic and hard-copy filing systems for aircraft maintenance documentation.
• Coordinate with Maintenance Control, Quality Assurance, Material Control, and other maintenance personnel to ensure records accurately reflect aircraft maintenance status.
• Comply with applicable CNAFINST/COMNAVAIRFORINST 4790.2 series requirements, NAMPSOPs, technical directives, and local procedures.
• Support inspections, audits, and reviews of aircraft maintenance records as required.
• Perform other related aircraft maintenance records and administrative duties in support of VP-62 mission requirements.

Preferred Qualifications
• Active Secret security clearance.
• Previous U.S. Navy or Marine Corps aviation maintenance administration or logs and records experience.
• Experience working within the Naval Aviation Maintenance Program (NAMP).
• Familiarity with CNAFINST/COMNAVAIRFORINST 4790.2 series requirements and applicable NAMPSOPs.
• Hands-on experience with NALCOMIS/OOMA or similar military aviation maintenance information systems.
