Location: Arlington, VA (Pentagon)
Shift: Day Shift Core hours: 6 am - 6 pm;
Position Summary: Client is seeking a Cyber Network Defense Analyst to join the Cybersecurity Operations team supporting the AFNCR IT Services program. The right candidate will augment the 844th Communications Group in implementing DoD, Air Force, and Air Force District of Washington (AFDW) cybersecurity policies, programs, and initiatives.
Certifications required:
Requires a current 8140 IAT Level II (Intermediate or Advanced) certificate (CompTIA Security+).

Active DOD Secret clearance (final)
Essential Job Functions
Facilitate Assessment and Authorization efforts for AFDW enclaves.
Support the AFDW Mission Defense Team in performing Defensive Cyberspace Operations-Internal Defensive Measures (DCO-IDM) for the AFDW portion of the AFIN.
Conduct active and passive DCO-IDM activities to monitor, audit, detect, report, analyze, and mitigate threats to mission-relevant and key terrain in cyberspace.
Support the development and management of cybersecurity policy, programs, and compliance.
Participate in Computer Network Defense team activities, including responses to security incidents, INFOCON level changes, and Classified Message Incidents.
Review and validate SAAR DD Form 2875 requests to ensure compliance with Air Force regulations.
Coordinate with appropriate entities on firewall rule changes and DLP waivers.
Serve as an 8140 compliance auditor.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and two years of prior relevant experience; additional applicable experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.
Active DoD Secret clearance.
CompTIA Security+ CE or higher DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification that meets 8140 ISSM role qualification requirements.
Experience with ACAS, HBSS, STIG Viewer, STIG auditing, and POA&Ms.
Proficiency with Excel, PowerShell, Python, and/or JavaScript.
Ability to brief status updates to senior Government leadership and stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting USAF, DISA, or other DoD mission systems.
Familiarity with eMASS, SCAP Compliance Checker, or HBSS.
Familiarity with Active Directory management, including account creation, account deletion, and other IT administration duties.
Ability to address and assess RMF security controls.
Ability to communicate risk-based recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
EC-Council Certified Network Defender and/or CompTIA CySA+ certification.
