Job Description Summary
Are you ready to see your future take flight? At GE Aerospace, we believe the world works better when it flies. We are a world-leading provider of jet engines, components, and integrated systems for commercial and military aircraft. We have a relentless dedication to the future of safe and more sustainable flight and believe in our talented people to make it happen.
Job Description
Help invent the future of flight, lift people up, and bring them home safely as a GE Aerospace Edison Works intern or co-op! At GE Aerospace, safety and quality are our top priorities - and in Edison Works, you'll apply them while working at the forefront of advanced aerospace innovation. As part of this team, you'll take on challenging, real-world engineering problems focused on developing next-generation propulsion technologies for critical military applications. You'll build professional and technical skills through hands-on experience, mentorship, and training, while forming connections with fellow interns, engineers, and leaders. This experience will help prepare you for a potential full-time career at GE Aerospace, whether through one of our leadership programs or direct-hire opportunities.
In Advanced Programs Aero Design, you will contribute to the invention and development of next-generation military propulsion systems by defining and delivering integrated aero solutions that support national defense and future mission needs. You'll work on advanced aero concepts for augmentors and exhaust nozzles, helping mature innovative designs that meet demanding customer capability requirements. As an Edison Works Aero Engineer, you'll gain experience creating "air solid" CAD models in NX, generating meshes in Ansys Workbench, and performing analysis and post-processing using Ansys CFX and Fluent for non/reacting and reacting combustion flows. You'll also collaborate across a highly integrated team of mechanical, thermal, performance, and survivability engineers to develop optimized solutions for some of the most advanced propulsion challenges in the industry.
