Apex Systems is seeking a Sr. Network Administrator to join one of our government clients in Alexandria, VA.
Project Details / Mission Supported:
Join our team to maintain and enhance secure, reliable, and high‑performance network services that enable the customer’s critical mission operations.
Key Responsibilities
• Work closely with senior network engineers, system administrators, and security teams to troubleshoot issues, resolve incidents, and implement network changes in a collaborative team environment.
• Participate in network design discussions and deployments, supporting equipment setup, cabling, fiber work, and physical infrastructure buildouts while adhering to established standards and best practices.
• Support Cisco ISE and DNA Center (DNA C) to manage network access control, policy based automation, and assurance in a fast paced environment.
• Implement and manage VLANs, routing policies, access control rules, and network segmentation to support secure, scalable, and logically separated environments.
• Assist in maintaining secure network environments by enforcing firewall rules, VPN configurations, network access control policies, and security best practices in support of compliance and cyber defense objectives.
• Utilize full scope of technical and interpersonal skills to further the mission.
Required Qualifications
• 3+ years of overall experience and a High School diploma. Other level of degrees will be accepted with correlating years of experience.
• Sec+ certification and CCNA
• Experience with Cisco ISE
• Cisco network administration experience
Location: Alexandria, VA
Clearance Level: TS/SCI
Salary/Pay range: $55-65/hr
