Job Description

Full Stack Developer (Cleared)

SOFTWARE ENGINEERING | TS/SCI PREFERRED, SECRET CONSIDERED | NORTHERN VIRGINIA HYBRID OR REMOTE (CONUS) | TALENT PIPELINE

ABOUT THIS ROLE
Cleared developers are scarce, and cleared developers who are comfortable shipping inside a classified network are scarcer still. Our customers ask for them regularly, usually in multiples, and usually on a timeline that does not accommodate a cold search.
The applications are mission tools rather than consumer products. Fewer users, higher stakes, and a deployment path that runs through a security review rather than an app store. You will own features end to end, from the interface an analyst touches to the service behind it.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
● Build the front end. React and TypeScript interfaces that hold up under real analyst workflows, not demo conditions.
● Build the services behind it. REST or GraphQL APIs in Python, Node, Java, or Go, with sensible data models and honest error handling.
● Ship to AWS. Containerized deployment on ECS or EKS, serverless where it fits, and infrastructure as code for the resources your application depends on.
● Write secure code. Authentication and authorization including CAC and PIV integration, input validation, secrets management, and static analysis in the pipeline.
● Work in the open with your team. Agile delivery, code review, test coverage, and documentation that outlives your tenure.
● Deliver inside constraints. Classified networks mean no public package pulls during deployment and a slower change cadence. The good engineers adapt rather than complain.
WHAT WE LOOK FOR
● Active TS/SCI is preferred and required for many of these seats. Active Secret candidates with strong depth are welcome.
● U.S. citizenship.
● Four or more years building and shipping production web applications, front end and back end.
● Strong JavaScript or TypeScript with a modern framework, most commonly React.
● A server-side language at depth: Python, Node, Java, or Go.
● Working AWS knowledge and comfort with containerized deployment.
STRONG PLUS
● Prior development on a Federal, DoD, or Intelligence Community program.
● Experience in an air-gapped or classified development environment.
● CI/CD pipeline ownership and automated testing discipline.
● CompTIA Security+ (Sec+ CE) or another DoD 8140 baseline certification.
● Accessibility standards including Section 508.

LOCATION AND SCHEDULE
A mix of Northern Virginia hybrid seats, several of which require on-site SCIF work, and fully remote requisitions within the continental United States.

HOW OUR BENCH WORKS
This posting is not tied to a single funded opening. D9Tech places cleared engineers on Federal and Department of Defense programs, and those requisitions arrive with short fuses, often days between award and a required submission. We would rather know you before that call comes than scramble afterward.

Here is what we commit to. You interview once, with our contract manager and our CEO, and we verify your clearance directly with you rather than guessing from a resume. If you are a fit, you go into our cleared engineering bench. When a requisition matches your profile, we contact you with the role, the location, the term, and the rate before anything else happens. Your resume goes to a customer only after you say yes, in writing, to that specific opportunity. We do not shop candidates.
What we ask in return is honesty about your clearance status, your availability, and what you have actually built with your own hands. We screen on hands-on depth, and adjacent experience is not the same thing.

HOW TO APPLY
Send your resume to agood@d9tech.net with the role title in the subject line. Include your clearance level and the date of your most recent investigation. We verify clearance status directly with every candidate before an interview is scheduled, and no resume is submitted to a customer without your written approval for that specific opportunity.
