As part of our System Software group, you'll architect and develop core software infrastructure that integrates advanced communications technologies across highly complex subsystems. [Responsibilities]
- Architect, design, and implement embedded real-time software solutions on VxWorks/Linux platforms
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define operational requirements and interface software and hardware components
- Drive all phases of the software development life cycle: requirements analysis, design, implementation, integration, and formal testing
- Develop and maintain software test plans, procedures, and technical documentation
- Participate in peer reviews and proactively identify, track, and resolve defects
- Utilize multiple programming languages to deliver robust solutions for Windows, Linux, and embedded real-time operating systems
[Required Skills and Experience]
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
- 3-4 years of professional software development experience with a focus on object-oriented methodologies
- Proficiency in C++ and strong understanding of high-performance, multi-threaded programming
- Proven experience in embedded real-time software development (VxWorks/Linux)
- Solid knowledge of programming languages, compilers, and application execution
- Demonstrated curiosity and drive to learn outside core discipline
[Preferred Skills]
- Advanced C++ expertise
- Hands-on troubleshooting and development experience on embedded targets using an RTOS
- Familiarity with signal processing, control systems theory, or networking fundamentals
- Working knowledge of protocols: IP, UDP, TCP, IPSec, DDS, SNMP
- Excellent communication, presentation, and writing skills
- Previous experience with Department of Defense (DoD) or intelligence community projects
- Eligibility for a U.S. Secret security clearance
