Everforth ECS is seeking a Software Engineer who is familiar with all phases of the software development process to design, develop, and maintain software modules and applications. Responsible for creating software components that will be used in radar systems to control circuits and radar positioning. In addition, will be responsible for maintaining and growing a GUI application that allows end-users to configure the radar system. Must be comfortable gathering requirements from radar engineers as well as customers. Must be a self-starter and comfortable working independently. May require obtaining a DoD SECRET Clearance.

Everforth ECS is seeking a Software Engineer who is familiar with all phases of the software development process to design, develop, and maintain software modules and applications. Responsible for creating software components that will be used in radar systems to control circuits and radar positioning. In addition, will be responsible for maintaining and growing a GUI application that allows end-users to configure the radar system. Must be comfortable gathering requirements from radar engineers as well as customers. Must be a self-starter and comfortable working independently. May require obtaining a DoD SECRET Clearance.
Duties and Responsibilities Include:
- Develop, configure, and maintain the control software for our OEM product lines
- Provide technical expertise and recommendations in assessing new software projects and initiatives to support and enhance existing based systems
- Investigate and resolve application functionality related issues and provide first-level support and troubleshooting
- Coordinate application development for multiple projects
- Troubleshoot technical issues and identifies modifications needed in existing applications to meet changing user requirements
- Write technical procedures and documentation for the applications including operations, user guides, etc.
- Produce technical documentation for new and existing applications
- Assist in the creation of the system design and functional specifications for new development projects
Salary Range: $85,000-170,000
Required Skills
- Ability to obtain DoD SECRET Clearance
- Technical experience building software applications and/or modules using LabVIEW
- Technical experience building software applications using other languages such as C/C++
- Experience coding applications in Windows and Linux environments
- Capability of designing modern graphical user interfaces to meet user needs, preparing operating instructions, compiling documentation of project/task development, analyzing system capabilities, and resolving questions about system software
- Possess expert knowledge of networking, open system standards and deployment technologies
- Must be able to demonstrate a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Desired Skills
- Bachelor's degree in related field(s) and/or related experience
- At least 7 years of technical experience providing research and collaboration with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of computer systems
- 5+ years of technical experience building software applications and/or modules using LabVIEW
- 5+ years of technical experience building software applications and/or modules using other languages such as C/C++
- Experience developing automated scripts in Python
- Experience with modern software configuration management tools (e.g. git) and integrated development environments (e.g. Visual Studio)
- Experience writing software that involves real-time communications over a network
- Experience integrating with a variety of hardware interfaces
- In-depth knowledge of security & information assurance concerns
