About SHR Consulting Group
SHR Consulting Group, LLC is a small business delivering enterprise IT, cybersecurity, and program management services to the Department of Defense and federal civilian agencies. We support mission-critical infrastructure at the Pentagon and across the National Capital Region, and we invest in our people through competitive compensation, professional certification support, and long-term career growth on stable, multi-year programs.
Position Summary
SHR Consulting Group is seeking Systems Administrators to operate and maintain the Mission Applications portfolio supporting the DISA J-9 Hosting and Compute (HAC) environment. Mission Applications are the custom-developed, COTS, and GOTS applications that deliver above-standard services to specific Mission Partners. In this role you will keep those applications available, patched, accredited, and recoverable - handling everything from web and application server administration through backup validation, failover configuration, and IAVA remediation. Positions are available for both Microsoft and Red Hat Linux computing environments.
Key Responsibilities
Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Telecommunications, or Management Information Systems; or five (5) recent years of documented experience relevant to this position.
Certification Requirements
DoD 8570.01-M / DoD 8140 IAT Level II certification required prior to start (DoD 8140.03 compliance required for all non-key personnel prior to beginning work; no waivers are granted for mandated baseline certifications). Computing environment certification in Microsoft Server/compute-related or Red Hat Linux/compute-related technologies required, aligned to the assigned position. Certifications must be uploaded to the Government certification tracking system (CMIS) within five days of start date.
Security Clearance
Active Secret clearance required. U.S. citizenship required.
Work Environment
On-site at the Pentagon Reservation and Government facilities within the National Capital Region. After-hours on-call support is required; recalled personnel must be able to report to the requested work site within two (2) hours of notification unless the incident can be addressed remotely.
Location: Pentagon Reservation, Washington, DC (National Capital Region)
Schedule: Full-time, 12 hours x 5 days per week (Monday-Friday) coverage rotation, with after-hours on-call support
Benefits
The above salary range represents a general guideline; SHR considers a number of factors when determining the base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position, and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
SHR Consulting Group, LLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or protected veteran status.
