IT Project Manager (Data Management)

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking an IT Project Manager (Data Management) to support a federal technology organization focused on data management, cloud platforms, data analytics, and enterprise modernization initiatives supporting DHS mission objectives. This position is hybrid , with 3 days onsite per week in Crystal City, VA. The IT Project Manager (Data Management) will lead complex federal IT projects across SaaS, PaaS, data warehouse, and analytics environments while ensuring successful delivery, compliance, and stakeholder alignment. This is an opportunity to directly support mission-critical initiatives that enhance data-driven decision making and operational effectiveness for federal law enforcement and homeland security programs.

Responsibilities for the IT Project Manager (Data Management) include:

• Lead IT projects through the full project lifecycle, including planning, scheduling, resource management, execution, and delivery.
• Manage Agile and Hybrid project teams while partnering with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and technical stakeholders to prioritize work and drive successful outcomes.
• Oversee project scope, schedule, budget, risks, dependencies, issues, and change management activities.
• Provide executive-level briefings, status updates, and presentations to senior government leadership and key stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with SDLC, ITSM, SLM, cybersecurity, governance, and documentation requirements while supporting cloud, SaaS, and PaaS initiatives.

Required Qualifications for the IT Project Manager (Data Management) include:

• 7+ years of IT experience with at least 5 years managing Federal IT projects.
• Experience with data management and data analytics technologies, including experience with one or more of the following: Databricks, OpenSearch, Elasticsearch, PostgreSQL, Cassandra, Snowflake, Apache Spark, Spark SQL, Kafka, NiFi, relational databases, data warehouses, and analytics platforms.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Active DHS Clearance or DoD Top Secret Clearance

Compensation for the IT Project Manager (Data Management) include:

• Salary Range: $140,000 - $175,000 depending on experience
• Full Benefits Package: PTO, Paid Holidays, Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, Sick Leave as required by law
