The Lockheed Martin Next Generation Interceptor (NGI) team is in search of a Hardware-in-the-Loop Simulation Lab Integrator/ Product Owner to be part of a team developing missile defense technology that could forever change our ability to deter and respond to adversity.

This role is a System Integration Responsible Systems Engineer (SI RSE) with full product ownership of the asset. Specific responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Serve as the Responsible Systems Engineer for the testbed with full product ownership
• Define, Control, Maintain and Update Configuration (inclusive of SW) by part number, ensuring the asset meets all requirements and user objectives, to include:
- EPDM product structure, Electrical Schematic, Drawings
- HW, SW pedigree expectations to accomplish goals
- Includes work arounds, temp configurations, etc. and products to accomplish these goals
• Establishment and maintenance of development schedule to meet program milestones
• Coordinate with delivering HW/SW organizations and AI&T to ensure on-time deliverables and integration to meet program milestones
• Lead HW/SW Subsystem integration activities on the tesbed, coordinate across various SW/hardware teams to ensure vehicle functions as intended. This includes FPGA, Flight Software, Test SW, EGSE, STE, and Simulation.
• Expectation that role will have authority to delegate tasks to appropriate SEIT, Avionics, Firmware, Software, EGSE, STE, Testbed and Test POCs
• Deliver and maintain testbed for customer use
• Approve (or reject) all operations on the testbed, including workarounds for late/missing HW/SW/GSE
• Advocate for Testbed resources
• Some travel may be required
Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications. For positions that perform IT responsibilities, use E646, Systems Engr-IT.
Basic Qualifications
• Systems Integration Test and/or Assembly, Integration, & Test experience in a lab environment
• Planning and coordinating Hardware and/or software testing for integration and verification
• HW/SW Integration experience
• Active or Current Secret clearance; US Citizenship required
Desired Skills
• Bachelor's of Science in Engineering or related discipline
• Minimum of 8+ years of Systems Integration Test and/or Assembly, Integration, & Test experience in a lab environment
• DOD Customer interface experience
• Experience troubleshooting system level integration issues; isolating issues to software, firmware, hardware, or test equipment
• Electrical Ground Support Equipment development or test experience
• Missile or Weapon System Development
• Project Engineering on complex Satellite or Missile Programs
• Proficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practice
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $161300.00 - $299500.00
