Job Title: Field Deployment Analyst
Location: Remote
Clearance Level: Secret, Must Have Clearance to Start
Required Certification(s): COMPTIA A+, Network+, Security+
Job Description
The Field Deployment Analyst is responsible for installing, configuring, testing, troubleshooting and fielding hardware, software, network systems, and in-service applications at designated customer field sites. This may include conducting pre-deployment testing and validation to ensure seamless integration into existing federal IT environments, as well as supporting large-scale hardware rollouts, infrastructure upgrades, and system modernization initiatives across assigned locations.
Education and Background
BA or BS degree and five years of experience, or a High School degree
The Field Deployment Analyst delivers technical troubleshooting to resolve hardware, software, and network connectivity issues affecting agency network. The role is responsible for rapidly evaluating network disruptions to determine whether an operational outage stems from a commercial circuit failure or an internal facility defect. Upon identifying failed network or system components, the incumbent implements targeted remediation up to and including component replacement to restore operational status, escalating complex issues to Tier 3 field engineering support when higher-level technical intervention is required. Throughout the diagnostic and resolution process, the incumbent collaborates actively with colleagues, customer representatives, internal management, and external vendors to align on troubleshooting strategies and drive swift, effective issue resolution.
This Field Deployment Analyst requires close coordination with Network Operations Centers (NOCs), network engineers, and other field technicians to maintain peak operational readiness. The Field Deployment Analyst works collaboratively within multi-disciplinary teams to execute scheduled deployment windows and conduct site surveys, and serves as a coordination point for escalation paths between field technicians and back-office engineering groups.
The Field Deployment Analyst works with assigned Project managers to contribute comprehensive site deployment reports, post-installation verification logs, and incident post-mortems to document field activity and outcomes. This includes assisting with updating project schedules, tracking matrices, and asset management databases to accurately reflect real-time field status. This role is also responsible for keeping program leadership and customer stakeholders informed of progress, risks, and deployment bottlenecks throughout the project lifecycle
