Job Description

Duties

  • You will provide management and oversight of daily operations by meeting with subordinate team leaders and functional managers to ensure focus on the mission of the organization.
  • You will manage assignments by identifying, distributing and balancing workload among employees.
  • You will consult with other divisions within the FRC concerning maintenance for production machinery and plant equipment; incoming equipment and modernization projects; maintenance schedules; and miscellaneous services.
  • You will establish methods and manages the development, implementation and modification of applicable depot instructions and maintenance processes, procedures and desktop guides for the assigned functional areas.
  • You will establish and track branch and division metrics, manages the collection of supporting data for metrics of assigned functional areas, evaluates trends and reports status of key performance indicators to leadership.
  • You will ensure that assigned functional areas are managed against effective metrics and internal objectives to meet customer goals.
  • You will oversee approved revisions of long-range plans, goals and objectives of the work directed for assigned functional areas and works with the applicable branch head on the incorporation of them into the overarching vision for the division.
  • You will provide one-on-one instruction or training to subordinate employees in proper work methods, work documents, labor transactions and safe practices.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized Experience must demonstrate principles and practices of an industrial environment to provide oversight of an industrial maintenance activities demonstrating one or more of the following: reliability-based maintenance, workload control/management, project and contracted services management, maintenance material procurement, maintenance planning, warehouse management and scheduling of maintenance resources to support a large complex industrial operation;
1) Development and implementation of new industrial techniques and processes to resolve complex and obscure problems not readily accomplished by accepted methods while supporting planned corrective, predictive, preventive and reactive maintenance strategies;
2) Adaptability and flexibility planning, organizing, scheduling, problem identification and resolution through industrial and administrative processes;
3) Apply various analytical techniques, including quantitative and statistical analysis, and other data reporting metrics;
4) Utilization of Maximo© or other CMMS to manage material, maintenance programs, and projects;.
