In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions- Management and Program Analysis Series (0343).
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade NH-03/GS-13, or equivalent in other pay systems. Specialized experience is described as producing desired results, in the needed timeframe, with the appropriate level of supervision through the use of appropriate knowledge, skills, abilities, and understanding of the technical requirements of the job. - Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities at least 25% of the time.
- As Branch Chief, plans, organizes, and directs the requirements and capability development for USSPACECOM and joint forces, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and fiscal accountability. Develops goals and objectives that integrate organizations and space operations with assigned mission area objectives.

- Skill to organize, and lead study teams tasked to originate new ideas, projects and methodologies. Ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions and supervise, mentor, motivate, and appraise the staff of an organization through subordinate supervisors.
- Ability to analyze, plan, and adjust work operations of subordinate organizational segments to meet program requirements and objectives within available resources.
