OVERVIEW:
We are seeking an experienced cyber professional to join our team and support our mission critical customer. As a Senior Cyber Security Officer, you will maintain the operational security posture for an information system to ensure security policies, standards, and procedures are established and followed. Your previous experience working collaboratively with staff at all levels to deliver short-term, medium-term, and long-term commitments will enable us to complete and coordinate tasks across cross-functional teams. This role requires shift work.

As a Senior Cyber Security Officer, you will maintain the operational security posture for an information system to ensure security policies, standards, and procedures are established and followed. Your previous experience working collaboratively with staff at all levels to deliver short-term, medium-term, and long-term commitments will enable us to complete and coordinate tasks across cross-functional teams. This role requires shift work.
GENERAL DUTIES:
- Performing a variety of Information Assurance (IA) and Computer Network Defense (CND) functions which are broad in nature and support multi-tier IA and CND functions. Examples may include writing and tracking multi-organization Requests For Information (RFI), audit/inspection, certification and accreditation, vulnerability management, detection and response support services.
- Providing support for a program, organization, system, or enclave's information assurance program.
- Providing security certification test and evaluation of assets, vulnerability management and response, security assessments, and customer support.
- Providing support for proposing, coordinating, implementing, and enforcing information systems security policies, standards, and methodologies.
- Maintaining operational security posture for an information system or program to ensure information systems security policies, standards, and procedures are established and followed.
- Evaluating security solutions to ensure they meet security requirements for processing classified information.
- Performing vulnerability/risk assessment analysis to support certification and accreditation.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree and 8 years of experience related to specific functional area (may substitute master's degree in lieu of 2 years of experience).
- Hold or attain a CySA+ or equivalent IAT Level II certification.
- Providing coaching and mentoring to junior team members.
- Leading cybersecurity oversight, collection, and reporting of threat intelligence, event analysis, and incident response.
- Organizing and scheduling 24x7x365 operations in a cybersecurity, IT or related watch environment.
- Consolidating and reporting on daily performance and health metrics to provide ongoing situational awareness to Government leadership.
- Incident case management solutions to document and report on incidents to meet audit, compliance, and legal requirements.
- Developing and continuously improving Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Vulnerability management and cyber threat intelligence.
- Classified Government networks, technology stacks, and cybersecurity operations.
- Experience with providing oversight and coordination in support of cross-agency response teams.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- CCNA Security, CySA+, SSCP, or equivalent certification AWS, Cloud certifications
CLEARANCE:
- Active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph clearance required
