Job Description
MANTECH is seeking a visionary Systems Architect Oversite Engineer to support the National Security Space Launch (NSSL) Program for the United States Space Force (USSF). We provide comprehensive support, assisting our government partners in certifying complex launch vehicle systems through advanced, data-driven oversight methodologies . This is a remote position.
This role will lead the digital transformation of risk management and quality governance for the NSSL Program. You will provide critical support by transitioning the Program from subjective oversight to a highly accurate , quantitative governance model. You will integrate manufacturing and production readiness into a unified framework that connects high-level industry standards with day-to-day manufacturing execution. You will be essential to system certification by combining multi-disciplinary data-including part reviews, audits, tests, and anomaly reports-into a predictive risk model that identifies process issues before they lead to failure .

The Enterprise Oversight Systems Architect is responsible for developing, implementing, and continually refining an advanced assessment methodology :
- Develop and implement Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning algorithms to transition from static risk models to dynamic, data-driven pattern recognition.
- Build and scale centralized data hubs to gather detailed findings and map them to measurable performance indicators across manpower , methods, machinery, materials, management, and the environment.
- Create methods to assess process health, ensuring broad regulatory requirements are met through measurable operational performance, shifting away from reactive reporting.
- Establish rigorous protocols for assessing execution quality to ensure that high performance in one area cannot hide critical failures at the task level.
- Execute a composite risk model by quantifying performance-adjusted likelihood, consequence, volatility, and historical data to generate predictive risk scores.
- Data-Driven Weighting: Lead expert panels to derive accurate , evidence-based weights for various processes and operational characteristics.
- Utilize diagnostic matrices to categorize organizational health, providing leadership with actionable intervention strategies for at-risk processes. Perform statistical validation to ensure oversight metrics serve as leading indicators of success rather than lagging indicators of failure.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical/aerospace engineering or bachelor's degree in STEM field . (1.5 years relevant experience may be accepted in lieu of each 1 year of education/degree requirement).
- 9 + years as Mechanical/Aerospace engineer in relevant fields with at least 2 years of aerospace quality or manufacturing engineering experience. This includes quality management systems, systems engineering, product/process controls, testing, audits, corrective actions, lean manufacturing, and product design requirements.
- Proven experience in engineering and production programs. Experience working with aerospace, satellite, or other large-scale government and industry programs is highly desired.
- Flexibility to adjust work schedules as required or work remotely.
Clearance:
- M ust have active secret OR must be able to obtain and maintain a secret level clearance.
Travel:
- This position requires up to 50% travel to customer sites that may include launch sites such as Cape Canaveral, Vandenberg Space Force Base as well as Los Angeles Air Force Base .
Physical Requirements :
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
- Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
- Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, machine and computer printer.
- Frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
