Target Salary Range: $104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.

About The Role
Peraton is currently seeking to hire an experienced G7 Military Exercise Planner for its' Southern European Task Force-Africa (SETAF-AF) Strategic Mission Support Program
Location:
- Vicenza, Italy - this position is based in Vicenza, Italy, and will require frequent business travel to the African continent or other global locations.
- Relocation is available and the position can be accompanied
Role & Description:
- Our Southern European Task Force-Africa (SETAF-AF) Strategic Mission Support Program is seeking a G7 Military Exercise Planner to join our diverse team in Vicenza, Italy.
- This position supports the SETAF-AF G7 Staff Directorate in the planning and execution of U.S. African Command (USAFRICOM), U.S. Army Europe-Africa (USAREUR-AF), and SETAF-AF exercises on the European and African continents.
- You will will facilitate all aspects of exercise coordination and preparation throughout the Joint Exercise Life Cycle (JELC) across all staff elements, both within SETAF-AF and externally as required.
- You will develop, coordinate, and execute Command Post Exercise (CPX) training with emphasis on Master Scenario Event List (MSEL) and operational environment development. Candidates should be familiar with the Joint Planning Process (JPP) and the Military Decision-Making Process (MDMP) and be able to translate strategic directives into comprehensive exercise design and plans.
- Additional duties will include:
- JELC event management,
- orders production,
- concept development,
- multi-year exercise strategy development,
- integration of innovation and technology, and
- logistical planning.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and 10 years of experience as a Senior Non-Commissioned Officer or Officer in the U.S. military.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience with military planning, design, and execution of Brigade-level or higher headquarters-level exercises.
- Experience planning within the Joint Exercise Life Cycle framework.
- Experience with the Joint Training Tool for exercise resourcing, design, and management.
- U.S.citizenship required.
- Active Secret security clearance.
- Military Intermediate Level Education (ILE) or equivalent.
- School of Advanced Military Studies (SAMS) graduate.
- Staff experience at the Division headquarters or higher.
- Experience with planning, design, and execution of Joint and Combined exercises.
