Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1.) Prepare and maintain departmental business plans and collaborate with the command and Defense Health Agencies and other entities to ensure compliance with visions and alignment to initiatives. 2.) Identify problems and design solutions and alternatives through research, data analysis, and best practices. 3.) Develop and update policies and procedures for administrative practices within the department.
4.) Maintain performance appraisals, awards, and disciplinary actions for assigned employees.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
or
3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree

- You will assign work to subordinates based on priorities, selective consideration of assignment difficulty and requirements, and the employee's performance standards.
- You will review and oversees purchase for departmental supply in support of the mission.
- You will develop and maintain an effective working relationship with other key program officials to include briefings for congressional enquiry, presentations for regional leaders and Bureau of Medicine and Surgery.

- You will initiate, monitor, and execute all civilian human resource initiatives to include but not limited to : incentive awards, performance management, employee and labor relations, and compensation.
