What You Will Be Doing:
Work corrective actions for discrepancies in a manufacturing environment across multiple portions of the build.
Conduct critical reviews of processes to identify gaps and close the process gaps with the intent of reducing variation and discrepancies in the build.
Collaborate with quality engineering and production operations to triage repeat failure modes in a production environment.
Utilize lean six sigma toolsets to identify root causes and develop corrective action plans.
Collaborate with team members to explore out-of-the-box thinking and contribute to product improvement initiatives.

Performs in a collaborative environment to develop and implement manufacturing processes, procedures and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, fabrication, and material handling. Drives adoption of new technologies and processes (automation, robotics, computer aided manufacturing software, etc.) to achieve greater efficiency, cost reduction and quality improvement. Creates and analyzes 3D based model data environment to optimize manufacturing process and digital work instructions. Leverages understanding of materials and automatic processes to define operations procedures and build sequences to drive operational excellence. Evaluates performance (including IoT devices, etc.) of equipment and tools to verify their efficiency and investigates and initiates corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure operational excellence. Leverages factory data to develop statistical process control approaches and integrates reporting and data analytics solutions for continuous improvement. Provides input to product design regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelors degree
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment working cross functionally with other disciplines including quality assurance, production operations, design engineering, industrial engineer, project engineer, manufacturing engineering, and/or process engineering
- Experience supporting air vehicle assembly and part assembly including some combination of the following: composites fabrication, metallics fabrication, structural assembly, systems installation, test operations
- Experience in integrated corrective action, cause map development, RCCA
- Active secret security clearance with an investigation in the last 5 years or enrollment in CE
- Ability to obtain special program access within 3 months of start
Desired Skills
- STEM degree preferred with 5+ years of experience
- Black belt certification
- PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification
- Working knowledge of air vehicle final assembly and flight line operations.
- Experience with audit teams or performing process audits
- Experience with facilitating kaizen events and tiger team efforts
- Demonstrated ability to drive issues to closure and develop preventative action plan to limit failures in the future.
- Demonstrated understanding of engineering blueprints, model based engineering, process specifications. and manufacturing planning.
- Self-starter with ability to operate with limited direction.
- Experience working in 3D modelling software (CATIA, Creo, SolidWorks, Nx), Product Lifecycle Manager (PLM) programs (e.g. 3DX, Teamcenter, PDM, etc.), and MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) programs (iBASEt, SAP, etc.).
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $95900.00 - $178100.00

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
