About the Role:
Come join the growing Theater Strike Weapon System program portfolio, including Conventional Prompt Strike, Hypersonic Weapon Systems, Advanced Glide Systems, Hypersonic Payload Delivery systems, and other new and dynamic programs. In this role as a GNC engineer, you may be involved in many of the following activities:
• Apply missile guidance, navigation, and control expertise to algorithm development, signal and data processing, modeling, and simulation
• Integrate Matlab/Simulink models into a 6-DOF C++ simulation
• Develop high fidelity models and simulation software
• Develop new source code in C++ and Python
• Modify code in C++, C, Matlab, Simulink, Fortran, Python, Linux shell, and YAML
• Create unit tests
• Implement simulation software on a high performance computing cluster including Linux systems or VMs
• Work in an Agile DevOps environment with Docker/Container and Kubernetes deployment
• Collaborate with the performance critical thinkers, Flight Software team, and customer
Proficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practice
Successful applicants generally have a minimum of 4+ years of related experience and may have a post-secondary degree or training in a related discipline.
Designs, develops, implements, verifies and tests algorithms to perform guidance, navigation and control of aircraft, spacecraft, launch vehicles and upper stages during powered and coast phases of flight, earth orbit, interplanetary cruise and orbital insertion, as well as during staging events. Navigation functions include the statistical processing of measured data points and their substitution into algorithms simulating physical reality. Guidance functions include the formulation of specific equations and control laws to achieve a desired position in space. Control design and analyses processes consist of the development of the control requirements for aircraft, launch vehicles and/or spacecraft.

• Broad technical skills such as rigid body dynamics, control theory, and/or computer programming.
• Proven experience using MATLAB and/or Simulink for simulation and analysis of feedback control systems, closed loop guidance, or navigation algorithms.
• C/C++ programming experience
• Demonstrate strong math skills in the areas of linear algebra, matrix math, statistics, trigonometry, and/or coordinate transformation.
• Ability to clearly document analysis results in presentation slides and engineering memos
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.
Security Clearance / Work Authorization:
• To meet requirements of the program/customer, this position requires the selected employee to be a U.S. Citizen.
• Applicants must be able to obtain Final Secret clearance to be considered qualified. Final Secret clearance is required to prior to start.
• Selected candidates will be required to maintain a minimum level, government issued Secret clearance for long term employment on this program.
