Position Overview
We're seeking a senior Cost Controls professional to provide strategic financial leadership across large-scale federal programs. This role partners directly with executive leadership to drive project performance, financial compliance, government reporting, and long-term business planning.
Required Technical Skills
-Expert knowledge of:
Cost Accounting Standards (CAS)
Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)
Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
-Extensive experience with:
Cost Controls
Project Controls
Financial Analysis
Cost Estimating
Budget Development
Forecasting
Earned Value concepts
Risk Analysis
Work Breakdown Structures (WBS)
Spend Planning
-Experience negotiating complex FAR and CAS issues with federal agencies
-Experience supporting DCAA, GAO, OIG, or comparable government audits
-Advanced proficiency with cost management, scheduling, estimating, and financial systems
-Ability to develop executive-level financial reporting and strategic recommendations
-Strong leadership experience managing complex financial initiatives and cross-functional teams
Preferred Qualifications
DOE or NNSA program experience
Government contractor accounting compliance
Cost Accounting Standards Board (CASB) Disclosure Statement experience
Incurred Cost Submission experience
Process improvement and financial systems optimization
Education & Experience
Bachelor's Degree with 18+ years of experience (or equivalent education/experience combination)
