Job Description
This position requires a lead Systems Engineer to direct the development of Content Delivery Network (CDN) infrastructure through advanced AI integration. As a technical lead, you will guide an engineering team in utilizing large language models (LLMs) to generate and manage Terraform configurations.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the engineering team in leveraging AI tools to design, generate, and deploy CDN infrastructure using Terraform.
- Formulate and refine complex AI prompts to consistently produce secure and optimized Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Evaluate AI-generated outputs for quality and efficiency, adjusting prompting strategies to account for model hallucinations, nuances, and limitations.
- Establish best practices, standardized workflows, and review processes for the team regarding AI interaction and prompt engineering.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define architectural requirements and translate them into effective AI directives.
Required Skills:
- Experience leading software engineering teams and managing technical infrastructure projects.
- Experience with prompt engineering, demonstrating a deep understanding of the nuances, capabilities, and limitations of modern LLMs.
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles, with practical experience utilizing Terraform for resource deployment.
- Experience reviewing, validating, and debugging AI-generated code or infrastructure configurations for production environments.
- Knowledge of Content Delivery Network (CDN) concepts and cloud-based hosting environments such as Cloudflare.
- Familiarity with Git and Atlassian Tools (Jira, Confluence) to manage team workflows and version control.
Nice to Have:
- Experience utilizing prompt management frameworks and AI evaluation metrics to track model performance.
- Experience translating and communicating complex AI and infrastructure concepts to non-technical stakeholders and executive leadership.
Experience Required: 12 years with Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or 16 years without degree
