JOB SUMMARY

The Critical Incident Response Group (CIRG) has a vacancy for a Multimedia Specialist (MMS) in the Executive Staff Office (ESO) (cost code: 2200). The ESO consists of the Special Assistant (SSA) and professional staff personnel. ESO supports the mission needs of the CIRG Leadership Team and the workforce through strategy and partnership management, divisional communications, external communications, and special project coordination.

KEY REQUIREMENTS
  • Must be a U.S. citizen
  • Must be able to obtain a Top Secret-SCI clearance
  • Some travel may be required

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The work requires some physical exertion such as long periods of standing, bending, and lifting heavy equipment. Substantial reaching and stretching may be necessary. Visual color distinction is required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work is typically performed in adequately lighted and climate controlled offices and studios and requires no special safety precautions. However, the incumbent would be required at times to work in outdoor locations. Occasional travel may be required.

MAJOR DUTIES:
  • Responsible for creating social media posts, web design, visual/graphic arts, and video production.
  • Produces video and photographic content, image enhancement for use including screen capture, downloading, and editing.
  • Research numerous topics to design and produce complex information in a variety of formats.
  • Plans, designs, produces and assembles promotional displays and advertisements used internally or at local community functions, law enforcement conventions, training symposiums, etc.
  • Designs and produces the most complex computer graphic designs and animation by using state-of-the-art computer graphic applications and programs. Imports photos, graphics, textures, and fills from libraries or creates artwork from scratch.
  • Manages office's web design/SharePoint site with emphasis on the technical interactivity, functionality, and usefulness of the website: creating, editing, and effectively arranging materials into a cohesive and visually gratifying end-user experience.
  • Installs, modifies, adapts photographic and video techniques and processes for the purpose of the office's social media pages, web designs, presentations, briefings, etc .

Specialized Experience (SE)

GS-13: Applicant must possess at least one (1) year of SE equivalent to the GS-12 grade level. SE is defined as follows:
  • Created original content by utilizing photographic and video techniques for a business or organization's social media. Designed and produced complex graphic designs, layouts, and animation by using state-of-the-art applications and programs.
  • Produced, communicated, and disseminated information and ideas to inform, educate, and/or entertain via written, oral, and visual media.
  • Established and maintained rapport with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate and promote agency objectives.
  • Communicated information using visual or audio storytelling techniques tailored to audiences as appropriate to document events.
  • Managed offices' web design and multiple social media platforms to efficiently improve communication between internal and external stakeholders.

EDUCATION

Education may not be substituted for specialized experience at the GS 12 level or higher

If no documentation is furnished no credit will be given for time worked in that position. The following notations must be specified in the documentation:
