Job Description
The Custodial Manager oversees the custodial and janitorial operations of the facility, ensuring that high standards of cleanliness, safety, and maintenance are consistently upheld. This role is responsible for managing, training, and scheduling a team of custodial staff, maintaining inventory of supplies, and promptly addressing environmental or maintenance concerns. The Custodial Manager plays a vital role in creating a safe, clean, and welcoming atmosphere for all building occupants.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Working Conditions:
• Work occurs in both office and field environments on a multi building campus.
• May require work outside of regular business hours to address urgent technical issues or project deadlines.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods.
• Ability to work in varied environmental conditions, including outdoor and industrial settings.

- Supervise and direct custodial staff to ensure thorough cleaning and maintenance of facility spaces
- Develop and implement cleaning schedules and procedures to maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety
- Train staff on proper use of cleaning equipment, materials, and safety protocols
- Inspect work areas and address deficiencies promptly
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock
- Respond quickly to urgent cleaning or maintenance needs
- Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment among custodial staff
- Ensure compliance with relevant health and safety regulations
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma
- Minimum five (5) years of experience in custodial support, with demonstrated supervisory responsibilities
- Secret Security Clearance
- Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage and motivate a diverse team
- Knowledge of cleaning and maintenance best practices
