Job Description
MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Telecommunications Technician to join our team in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Install, set-up, rearrange, or remove switching, distribution, routing, and dialing equipment used in central offices.
- Service or repair telephone, cable television, Internet, and other communications equipment on customers' property.
- Performs layout, installation, termination, labeling, testing and certification of all associated cabling, to include but not limited to, CAT 3, CAT 5, CAT 5e, and CAT 6 twisted pair cable; single- or multi-strand multi-mode or single-mode fiber optic cable; and other associated video and data cables primarily within government facilities.
- Possesses and applies a comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments.
- Plans and leads major technology assignments. Evaluates performance results and recommends major changes affecting short-term project growth and success.
- Functions as a technical expert across multiple project assignments. May supervise others.
Basic Qualifications:
- High School diploma
- Two (2) or more years of relevant telecommunication installation experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Security+ or equivalent IAT level II compliant certification
- Specialized training in EIA/TIA 568 and 569 cable standards preferred.
- Multi-vendor equipment experience is strongly preferred.
- BICSI installation certification is strongly preferred.
- Experience at a DoD Combatant Command (e.g., SOUTHCOM, NORTHCOM, CENTCOM, CYBERCOM, INDOPACOM, EUCOM, AFRICOM, STRATCOM, TRANSCOM, SOCOM, SPACECOM) or a component is desired
Clearance Requirements:
- Must have an active TS/SCI clearance.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%
- Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer
- The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
- Must frequently lift, carry, push, or pull heavy telecommunications equipment, tools, cables, and related materials.
- Must frequently bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, and reach while installing or servicing telecommunications equipment.
- Must be able to work under desks and within tight or restricted workspaces.
