SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR (MICROSOFT SERVER / CUCM)
Location: Iwakuni, Japan
Clearance: Active Secret Clearance Required

OVERVIEW:
Join a mission-critical Department of Defense enterprise IT environment supporting global operations. We are seeking an experienced Systems Administrator with Microsoft Server and Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) experience to support enterprise infrastructure, communications systems, patch management, and cybersecurity compliance efforts.
This position offers the opportunity to support a large-scale IT environment while living and working in Japan.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Administer and maintain Microsoft Server environments.
- Support Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) and related collaboration systems.
- Monitor system health, performance, and availability across enterprise infrastructure.
- Respond to and troubleshoot server, application, and network issues.
- Perform operating system and software patching activities.
- Identify and remediate vulnerabilities in accordance with security requirements.
- Coordinate with cybersecurity teams to validate system compliance.
- Utilize Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM/SCCM) to deploy and manage software updates.
- Execute remote administration and remediation activities using enterprise management tools.
- Support Local Area Networks (LAN), Wide Area Networks (WAN), and enterprise services.
- Assist with hardware, software, and network implementation efforts.
- Document system changes, maintenance activities, and technical procedures.
- Participate in system testing, upgrades, and performance reviews.
- Recommend infrastructure improvements and operational efficiencies.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Active Secret Security Clearance.
- Security+ Certification (DoD 8570 compliant).
- Microsoft Associate-level Certification.
- 6+ years of IT experience.
- 2+ years of Microsoft Server Administration experience.
- Hands-on experience with Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM).
- Experience supporting enterprise Windows environments.
- Experience with system patching and vulnerability remediation.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience supporting Department of Defense or Federal Government environments.
- Experience with MECM/SCCM administration.
- Familiarity with vulnerability scanning and cybersecurity compliance processes.
- Experience supporting large enterprise infrastructure environments.
- Knowledge of LAN/WAN networking concepts.
