Job Description
Markon is building a talent pool of Building Management Specialists to support future Intelligence Community customer missions.
The Building Management Specialist serves as a key member of the Building Services team, supporting the safe, efficient, and effective operation of one or more buildings and surrounding property. The position applies building management knowledge and sound judgment to address facility needs, resolve operational issues, coordinate services, and support the development of effective building management practices.

The Building Management Specialist serves as a key member of the Building Services team, supporting the safe, efficient, and effective operation of one or more buildings and surrounding property. The position applies building management knowledge and sound judgment to address facility needs, resolve operational issues, coordinate services, and support the development of effective building management practices.
Responsibilities
- Apply building management concepts, principles, and practices to routine and complex facility issues.
- Plan and carry out assignments independently, resolving operational issues and interpreting established policies and procedures.
- Use initiative and resourcefulness to identify solutions, evaluate trends, and recommend improvements to building management practices.
- Coordinate with employees, contractors, vendors, and other stakeholders to resolve non-routine building concerns.
- Make appropriate decisions based on building management policies, regulations, and operational requirements.
Daily Operations
- Building & Infrastructure: Inspect interior and structural areas for damage, cleanliness, functionality, and safety; report and coordinate corrective action as needed.
- Grounds & Exterior: Inspect exterior and controlled areas to maintain safety, cleanliness, and order.
- Custodial Checks: Conduct routine inspections of restrooms and common areas to ensure cleanliness, safety, supplies, and functionality.
- Service Requests: Monitor and track building service requests using the FLS2 VTB system and follow issues through resolution.
- Building Services Inbox: Respond to facility-related requests and assist with ARCHIBUS conference room bookings and hoteling/temporary workspace reservations.
- Supplies: Monitor building supply needs and coordinate miscellaneous GPC-supported purchases in accordance with established procedures.
Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph required
- Knowledge of building or facilities management concepts, principles, and practices.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and assignments effectively.
- Ability to identify facility issues and coordinate appropriate solutions.
- Sound judgment and ability to interpret established policies and procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with employees, contractors, vendors, and other stakeholders.
- Proficiency with facility management and office systems, with the ability to learn systems such as FLS2 VTB and ARCHIBUS.
- May be required to travel within multiple NCR locations
